凡宜見虜者則見虜、以刃殺人者、則必見殺於刃、諸聖徒之忍與信在此矣、○

凡虜人者、亦將見虜於人、以刃殺人者、亦將見殺於人、聖徒之恆忍信主、於此可見、

凡擄人者亦見擄、以刃殺人者亦被刃殺、聖徒之恆忍與信在此矣、○

引人入甕者終必自入甕中；殺人以刀者、終必自傷刀下。諸聖之恆忍堅信、於是乎存。

“ If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword they will be killed.” This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God’s people.

“ Everyone who is supposed to be captured will be captured. Everyone who is supposed to be killed by a sword will be killed by a sword.”( Jeremiah 15:2) So God’s people must be patient and faithful.

If anyone is to be taken captive, to captivity he goes; if anyone is to be slain with the sword, with the sword must he be slain. Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints.

Anyone who is destined for prison will be taken to prison. Anyone destined to die by the sword will die by the sword. This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently and remain faithful.

Woe to you who plunder, though you have not been plundered; And you who deal treacherously, though they have not dealt treacherously with you! When you cease plundering, You will be plundered; When you make an end of dealing treacherously, They will deal treacherously with you.

Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

But Jesus said to him,“ Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword.

By your patience possess your souls.

Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Surely for your lifeblood I will demand a reckoning; from the hand of every beast I will require it, and from the hand of man. From the hand of every man’s brother I will require the life of man.“ Whoever sheds man’s blood, By man his blood shall be shed; For in the image of God He made man.

“ I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars;

For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:“ For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.

When he comes, he shall strike the land of Egypt and deliver to death those appointed for death, and to captivity those appointed for captivity, and to the sword those appointed for the sword.

It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the Lord.

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,saying:“ There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man.Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying,‘ Get justice for me from my adversary.’And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself,‘ Though I do not fear God nor regard man,yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’”Then the Lord said,“ Hear what the unjust judge said.And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”

“ I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first.

I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, And You have given them blood to drink. For it is their just due.”

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.

For behold, the Lord comes out of His place To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity; The earth will also disclose her blood, And will no more cover her slain.

Then people will take them and bring them to their place, and the house of Israel will possess them for servants and maids in the land of the Lord; they will take them captive whose captives they were, and rule over their oppressors.

For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin.

strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;

For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

But if any harm follows, then you shall give life for life,eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
