天上又出现了另一个兆头：有一条大红龙，有七个头十个角；七个头上戴着七个冠冕。

我在圣灵感动下，被天使带到旷野去，我看见一个女人骑在朱红色的兽上；那只兽有七个头十个角，遍体有亵渎的名号。

他们作完见证的时候，那从无底坑里上来的兽要跟他们交战，并且得胜，把他们杀了。

那侍立者这样说：第四兽就是世上要兴起的第四国，与其他各国不同，它要并吞全地，并且践踏嚼碎。至于那十只角，就是从这国中兴起的十个王；后来又兴起另一王，与先前的不相同，他要制伏三个王。他说话抵挡至高者，折磨至高者的众圣者，又改变节期和律法。众圣者要交在他手中一年、两年、又半年。

“王必任意而行，自高自大，超过所有的神明，又用荒谬的话攻击万神之神。他必行事亨通，直到主的愤怒结束，因为所定的事必然实现。

但以理说：我在夜间的异象中观看，看哪，天上有四风，突然刮在大海之上。有四只巨兽从海里上来，它们各不相同：

其后，我在夜间的异象中观看，看哪，第四兽可怕可惧，极其强壮，有大铁牙，吞吃嚼碎，剩下的用脚践踏。这兽与前面所有的兽不同，它有十只角。我正思考这些角的时候，看哪，其中又长出另一只小角；先前的角中有三只角在它面前连根被拔出。看哪，这角有眼，像人的眼，有口说夸大的话。

你所看见的那十个角与兽必恨这淫妇，他们要使她孤独赤身，又要吃她的肉，用火将她烧尽。

于是我想要更清楚知道第四兽的实情，它与一切的兽不同，甚是可怕，有铁牙铜爪，吞吃嚼碎，剩下的用脚践踏；头上有十只角和那另长出的一角，三只角在这角面前掉落；这角有眼，有口说夸大的话，形状比它的同类更强。

天使对我说：“你为什么诧异呢？我要把这女人和驮着她那七头十角的兽的奥秘告诉你。你曾看见的兽，以前有，现在没有，将来要从无底坑里上来，又归于沉沦。凡住在地上、名字从创世以来没有记在生命册上的人看见那只兽都要诧异，因为它以前有，现在没有，以后再有。在此要有智慧的心思：那七个头就是女人所坐的七座山；他们又是七个王，五个已经倒了，一个还在，一个还没有来到；他来的时候必须只暂时停留。那以前有、现在没有的兽就是第八个，他也和那七个同列，正归于沉沦。你曾看见的那十个角就是十个王；他们还没有得到国度，但他们要和那只兽同得权柄作王一个时辰。

我看见仿佛有搀杂火的玻璃海；又看见那些胜了那兽和兽像，以及它名字的数字的人，都站在玻璃海上，拿着神的竖琴。

你们难道不惧怕我吗？在我面前还不战兢吗？这是耶和华说的。我以沙为海的界限，作永远的条例，使它不得越过。波浪汹涌，却不能胜过；怒涛澎湃，仍无法越过。

龙又赐给那只兽说夸大亵渎话的口，又赐给它权柄可以任意行事四十二个月。那兽就开口向神说亵渎的话，亵渎神的名和他的帐幕，就是那些住在天上的。

不要让任何人用什么法子欺骗你们，因为那日子以前必有叛教的事，并有那不法的人，那沉沦之子出现。那抵挡者高抬自己超过一切称为神明的，和一切受人敬拜的，甚至坐在神的殿里，自称为神。

在她额上写着奥秘的名字，说：“大巴比伦，世上的淫妇和一切可憎之物的母。”
