你們是出於你們的父魔鬼，喜歡按著你們的父的私慾行事。他從起初就是殺人的兇手，不守真理，因為他心裡沒有真理。他說謊是出於本性，因為他本來就是說謊者，也是說謊的人的父。

於是那大龍被摔了下來。牠就是那古蛇，名叫魔鬼，又叫撒但，是迷惑普天下的人的。牠被摔在地上，牠的天使也跟牠一同被摔了下來。

牠們好像蠍子一樣有尾巴和毒刺，牠們的尾巴能傷害人五個月。

她懷了孕，在生產的痛苦中疼痛呼叫。天上又出現了另一個景象。看哪！有一條大紅龍，有七頭十角，七頭上戴著七個皇冠。

馬的能力是在口中和尾巴上。牠們的尾巴像蛇，並且有頭用來傷人。

說：“你們給希伯來婦人接生的時候，要看著她們臨盆；若是男孩，你們要殺死他；若是女孩，她就可以活著。”

第一位天使吹號，就有冰雹和混雜著血的火，投在地上。地的三分之一燒掉了，樹的三分之一燒掉了，所有的青草也燒掉了。

希律王聽見了就心裡不安，全耶路撒冷的居民也是這樣。他就召集所有的祭司長和民間的經學家，問他們基督應該生在哪裡。他們回答：“在猶太的伯利恆。因為有先知在經上這樣說：‘猶大地的伯利恆啊！你在猶大的領袖中，並不是最小的，因為必有一位領袖從你那裡出來，牧養我的子民以色列。’”希律暗中把星象家召來，仔細查問他們，那顆星甚麼時候出現，然後派他們到伯利恆去，說：“你們去細心尋訪那小孩，找到了就向我報告，好叫我也去拜他。”他們聽命去了。他們在東方看見的那顆星，忽然在他們前頭，領他們到那小孩所在的地方，就在上頭停住了。他們看見那顆星，歡喜極了；進了房子，看見小孩和他母親馬利亞，就俯伏拜他，並且打開寶盒，把黃金、乳香、沒藥作禮物獻給他。後來他們在夢中得著指示不要回到希律那裡去，就從別的路回鄉去了。他們走了以後，主的使者在夢中向約瑟顯現，說：“起來，帶著孩子和他母親逃到埃及去，留在那裡，直到我再指示你，因為希律要尋找這孩子，把他殺掉。”約瑟就起來，連夜帶著孩子和他母親往埃及去，住在那裡，直到希律死了，為的是要應驗主藉先知所說的：“我從埃及召我的兒子出來。”希律見自己被星象家愚弄了，就大怒，於是照著他從星象家所問得的日子，下令把伯利恆和附近地方，兩歲及以下的小孩全都殺死。

你們要謹守、警醒。你們的仇敵魔鬼，好像吼叫的獅子走來走去，尋找可以吞吃的人；

你看見的那婦人，就是有權統治地上的眾王的那座大城。”
