守天主誡、及信耶穌道之聖徒、因此恆忍、或作聖徒之恆忍在此矣彼守天主之誡及耶穌之道

作證既畢、自大淵而上之獸、將與之戰、勝而殺之、

既啟第五印、我見祭臺下、有為天主之道、及為所證之證被殺者之魂、

又使獸能戰聖徒而勝之、又予之以權治諸族諸方諸民、

我遂俯伏於其足前、欲拜之、彼謂我曰、不可、我與爾、並與爾諸兄弟、即為耶穌作證者、同為僕、爾當崇拜天主、蓋感先知之神、亦感為耶穌作證之人、○

諸兄弟不貪生而冒死、賴羔之血、及所證之道而勝之、天與居於天者、皆當為之歡樂、惟居於地與海者、禍矣、蓋魔自識其時日無幾、故以大怒臨爾、○

彼曰、第四獸、即世間將有之第四國也、異於諸國、並吞天下、破碎蹂躪、其十角即此國中將興之十王、其後別興一王、異於前者、將服三王、向至上者出言誇大、困苦至上者之聖民、欲改時易法、聖民被付於其手、一載二載半載、惟審鞫者將坐而審鞫之、奪其權勢、殲滅殆盡、

我見數座位、有坐之者、得審判之權、其為耶穌之證及天主道被殺之人、未拜獸與獸像、於額與手未受獸印誌者、我見其靈魂、彼皆復活、與基督同王一千年、

我若守主之誡、則可自知我識主、

兄弟乎、我昔就爾傳道、為天主作證、未用高言大智、

爾父即魔、爾曹由彼而出、爾喜行爾父之所欲、彼自始為殺人者、不立於真理、以其內無真理、彼言誑、乃由本性而言之、因彼為誑者、且為誑者之父也、

我儕愛天主而守其誡、則我之愛天主眾子由此可知、

我約翰為爾兄弟、與爾為耶穌基督同受患難、同在其國、同為彼而忍耐、為天主道及耶穌基督之證、在拔摩海島、在拔摩海島或作見放於拔摩海島

教之守凡我所命爾者、且我常偕爾、至於世末、阿們、
