所以耶和華－萬軍之神如此說：因為百姓說這話，我必使我的話在你口中為火，使他們為柴；這火便將他們燒滅。

以利亞回答說：「我若是神人，願火從天上降下來，燒滅你和你那五十人！」於是有火從天上降下來，燒滅五十夫長和他那五十人。王第二次差遣一個五十夫長，帶領五十人去見以利亞。五十夫長對以利亞說：「神人哪，王吩咐你快快下來！」以利亞回答說：「我若是神人，願火從天上降下來，燒滅你和你那五十人！」於是神的火從天上降下來，燒滅五十夫長和他那五十人。

卻要以公義審判貧窮人，以正直判斷世上的謙卑人，以口中的杖擊打世界，以嘴裏的氣殺戮惡人。

因此，我藉先知砍伐他們，以我口中的話殺戮他們；我施行的審判如光發出。

摩西說：「我行的這一切事本不是憑我自己心意行的，乃是耶和華打發我行的，必有證據使你們知道。這些人死若與世人無異，或是他們所遭的與世人相同，就不是耶和華打發我來的。倘若耶和華創作一件新事，使地開口，把他們和一切屬他們的都吞下去，叫他們活活地墜落陰間，你們就明白這些人是藐視耶和華了。」摩西剛說完了這一切話，他們腳下的地就開了口，把他們和他們的家眷，並一切屬可拉的人丁、財物，都吞下去。這樣，他們和一切屬他們的，都活活地墜落陰間；地口在他們上頭照舊合閉，他們就從會中滅亡。在他們四圍的以色列眾人聽他們呼號，就都逃跑，說：「恐怕地也把我們吞下去。」又有火從耶和華那裏出來，燒滅了那獻香的二百五十個人。

看哪，我今日立你在列邦列國之上，為要施行拔出、拆毀、毀壞、傾覆，又要建立、栽植。

從他鼻孔冒煙上騰；從他口中發火焚燒，連炭也着了。

萬軍之耶和華說，「在顯出榮耀之後，差遣我去懲罰那擄掠你們的列國，摸你們的就是摸他眼中的瞳人。

只是我的言語和律例，就是所吩咐我僕人眾先知的，豈不臨到你們列祖嗎？他們就回頭，說：『萬軍之耶和華定意按我們的行動作為向我們怎樣行，他已照樣行了。』」

他就仆倒在地，聽見有聲音對他說：「掃羅！掃羅！你為甚麼逼迫我？」他說：「主啊！你是誰？」主說：「我就是你所逼迫的耶穌。

其狀如從前他來滅城的時候我所見的異象，那異象如我在迦巴魯河邊所見的異象，我就俯伏在地。
