When he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight.

As they continued on and talked, behold, a chariot of fire and horses of fire separated them, and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever.

When Yahweh was about to take Elijah up by a whirlwind into heaven, Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.

even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved—and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.

In Hades, he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far off, and Lazarus at his bosom.

“ Who are these who fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?

You said in your heart,“ I will ascend into heaven! I will exalt my throne above the stars of God! I will sit on the mountain of assembly, in the far north!

Then you shall return and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God and him who doesn’t serve him.

Yahweh, who shall dwell in your sanctuary? Who shall live on your holy hill?

He who overcomes, I will give to him to sit down with me on my throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father on his throne.

Show me a sign of your goodness, that those who hate me may see it, and be shamed, because you, Yahweh, have helped me, and comforted me.

Fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood opposite them at a distance; and they both stood by the Jordan.

The wicked will see it, and be grieved. He shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away. The desire of the wicked will perish.

He took off their chariot wheels, and they drove them heavily; so that the Egyptians said,“ Let’s flee from the face of Israel, for Yahweh fights for them against the Egyptians!”

Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?Even as it is written,“ For your sake we are killed all day long. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Who may ascend to Yahweh’s hill? Who may stand in his holy place?
