那位對我說話的天使，拿著一根金蘆葦的量尺，要測量那城，就是她的城門和城牆。

我又舉目觀看，看哪，有一個人手裡拿著量繩！我問：「你要去哪裡呢？」他回答我：「我要去測量耶路撒冷，看看它有多寬，有多長。」

你們也就像活石，被建造成一座屬靈的殿宇，進入聖潔的祭司體系，好藉著耶穌基督獻上蒙神悅納的屬靈祭物，

並且被建造在使徒和先知的根基上，有基督耶穌自己為房角石。在基督耶穌裡，全部建築互相連接，漸漸成為在主裡的聖殿；在他裡面，你們也一同被建造，藉著聖靈成為神居住的地方。

我要以公正為準繩，以公義為鉛垂線；冰雹要掃滅謊言的避難所，眾水要衝沒你們的藏身處。

你們難道不知道自己就是神的聖所，而且神的靈住在你們裡面嗎？如果有人毀壞神的聖所，神就要毀壞這個人，因為神的聖所是聖潔的，這聖所就是你們。

神的聖所與偶像有什麼相同呢？要知道，我們是永生神的聖所，正如神所說：「我將要在他們中間居住，在他們中間往來；我將要做他們的神，他們將要做我的子民。」

但你們屬於蒙揀選的族類、君王的祭司體系、聖潔的國度，是屬神的子民；為要使你們宣揚曾召喚你們的那一位的美德——他召喚你們出黑暗，入他奇妙的光明。

至於我，除了我們主耶穌基督的十字架以外，我絕不以別的誇耀。因這十字架，對我來說，世界已經被釘十字架了；對世界來說，我也已經被釘十字架了。因為受割禮或不受割禮，都算不了什麼；重要的是成為新造的人。凡是照著這原則行走的人，願平安和憐憫臨到他們，也臨到神的以色列民！

接著，我看見另一位強有力的天使從天上降下來，披著雲彩；又有一道彩虹在他頭上。他的臉像太陽，腳像火柱，手裡拿著一個打開的小書卷。他右腳踩在海上，左腳踩在地上，大聲呼喊，好像獅子吼叫。他一呼喊，那七個雷就發出自己的聲音。當那七個雷發出了自己的聲音，我正要寫下來，卻聽見有聲音從天上傳來，說：「你要封住七個雷所說的話，不可寫下來。」接著，我所看見的那位站在海上和地上的天使，向天舉起他的右手，
