I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

I, John, am a believer like you. I am a friend who suffers like you. As members of Jesus’ royal family, we can put up with anything that happens to us. I was on the island of Patmos because I taught God’s word and what Jesus said.

I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

I, John, am your brother and your partner in suffering and in God’s Kingdom and in the patient endurance to which Jesus calls us. I was exiled to the island of Patmos for preaching the word of God and for my testimony about Jesus.

I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.”

who testified to God’s word and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, about everything that he saw.

Because you kept my command to endure, I also will keep you from the hour of testing which is to come on the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

However you did well that you shared in my affliction.

But if we hope for that which we don’t see, we wait for it with patience.

If anyone is to go into captivity, he will go into captivity. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, he must be killed. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.

They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony. They didn’t love their life, even to death.

Here is the perseverance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”

Therefore don’t be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner; but endure hardship for the Good News according to the power of God,

It is even right for me to think this way on behalf of all of you, because I have you in my heart, because both in my bonds and in the defense and confirmation of the Good News, you all are partakers with me of grace.

and if children, then heirs: heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.

When he opened the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been killed for the Word of God, and for the testimony of the Lamb which they had.

I told him,“ My lord, you know.” He said to me,“ These are those who came out of the great suffering. They washed their robes, and made them white in the Lamb’s blood.

When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them.

For you need endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise.

“ I know your works, oppression, and your poverty( but you are rich), and the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews, and they are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.Don’t be afraid of the things which you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested; and you will have oppression for ten days. Be faithful to death, and I will give you the crown of life.

so that we ourselves boast about you in the assemblies of God for your perseverance and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which you endure.This is an obvious sign of the righteous judgment of God, to the end that you may be counted worthy of God’s Kingdom, for which you also suffer.

For, I think that God has displayed us, the apostles, last of all, like men sentenced to death. For we are made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and men.We are fools for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You have honor, but we have dishonor.Even to this present hour we hunger, thirst, are naked, are beaten, and have no certain dwelling place.We toil, working with our own hands. When people curse us, we bless. Being persecuted, we endure.Being defamed, we entreat. We are made as the filth of the world, the dirt wiped off by all, even until now.

Be patient therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient over it, until it receives the early and late rain.You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

John, to the seven assemblies that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from God, who is and who was and who is to come; and from the seven Spirits who are before his throne;

to those who by perseverance in well- doing seek for glory, honor, and incorruptibility, eternal life;but to those who are self- seeking, and don’t obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, will be wrath, indignation,

May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love, and into the perseverance of Christ.

Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance;and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope:

The dragon grew angry with the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep God’s commandments and hold Jesus’ testimony.

You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.No soldier on duty entangles himself in the affairs of life, that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.Also, if anyone competes in athletics, he isn’t crowned unless he has competed by the rules.The farmer who labors must be the first to get a share of the crops.Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things.Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, of the offspring of David, according to my Good News,in which I suffer hardship to the point of chains as a criminal. But God’s word isn’t chained.Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones’ sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.This saying is trustworthy:“ For if we died with him, we will also live with him.If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he also will deny us.

I fell down before his feet to worship him. He said to me,“ Look! Don’t do it! I am a fellow bondservant with you and with your brothers who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God, for the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy.”
