I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

I, John, am a believer like you. I am a friend who suffers like you. As members of Jesus’ royal family, we can put up with anything that happens to us. I was on the island of Patmos because I taught God’s word and what Jesus said.

I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

I, John, am your brother and your partner in suffering and in God’s Kingdom and in the patient endurance to which Jesus calls us. I was exiled to the island of Patmos for preaching the word of God and for my testimony about Jesus.

strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying,“ We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.”

These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw.

Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

Nevertheless you have done well that you shared in my distress.

But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God,

just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace.

and if children, then heirs— heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held.

And I said to him,“ Sir, you know.” So he said to me,“ These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them.

For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

“ I know your works, tribulation, and poverty( but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

so that we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure,which is manifest evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer;

For I think that God has displayed us, the apostles, last, as men condemned to death; for we have been made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men.We are fools for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonored!To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and homeless.And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure;being defamed, we entreat. We have been made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things until now.

Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne,

eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality;but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness— indignation and wrath,

Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;and perseverance, character; and character, hope.

And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops.Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things.Remember that Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, was raised from the dead according to my gospel,for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, even to the point of chains; but the word of God is not chained.Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, We shall also live with Him.If we endure, We shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us.

And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me,“ See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
