I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

I, John, am a believer like you. I am a friend who suffers like you. As members of Jesus’ royal family, we can put up with anything that happens to us. I was on the island of Patmos because I taught God’s word and what Jesus said.

I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

I, John, am your brother and your partner in suffering and in God’s Kingdom and in the patient endurance to which Jesus calls us. I was exiled to the island of Patmos for preaching the word of God and for my testimony about Jesus.

I, John, your brother and fellow participant in the tribulation and kingdom and perseverance in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

I John, your brother and partner with you in the oppression, Kingdom, and perseverance in Christ Jesus, was on the isle that is called Patmos because of God’s Word and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

strengthening the disciples by encouraging them to continue in the faith and by telling them,“ It is necessary to go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.”

I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.”

who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, whatever he saw.

Because you have kept my command to endure, I will also keep you from the hour of testing that is going to come on the whole world to test those who live on the earth.

Still, you did well by partnering with me in my hardship.

Now if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with patience.

If anyone is to be taken captive, into captivity he goes. If anyone is to be killed with a sword, with a sword he will be killed. This calls for endurance and faithfulness from the saints.

They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; for they did not love their lives to the point of death.

This calls for endurance from the saints, who keep God’s commands and their faith in Jesus.”

So don’t be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, or of me his prisoner. Instead, share in suffering for the gospel, relying on the power of God.

Indeed, it is right for me to think this way about all of you, because I have you in my heart, and you are all partners with me in grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel.

and if children, also heirs— heirs of God and coheirs with Christ— if indeed we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.

When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slaughtered because of the word of God and the testimony they had given.

I said to him,“ Sir, you know.” Then he told me: These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

When they finish their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war on them, conquer them, and kill them.

For you need endurance, so that after you have done God’s will, you may receive what was promised.

I know your affliction and poverty, but you are rich. I know the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.Don’t be afraid of what you are about to suffer. Look, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison to test you, and you will experience affliction for ten days. Be faithful to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.

Therefore, we ourselves boast about you among God’s churches— about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and afflictions that you are enduring.It is clear evidence of God’s righteous judgment that you will be counted worthy of God’s kingdom, for which you also are suffering,

For I think God has displayed us, the apostles, in last place, like men condemned to die: We have become a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to people.We are fools for Christ, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonored!Up to the present hour we are both hungry and thirsty; we are poorly clothed, roughly treated, homeless;we labor, working with our own hands. When we are reviled, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it;when we are slandered, we respond graciously. Even now, we are like the scum of the earth, like everyone’s garbage.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, be patient until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth and is patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains.You also must be patient. Strengthen your hearts, because the Lord’s coming is near.

John: To the seven churches in Asia. Grace and peace to you from the one who is, who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne,

eternal life to those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality;but wrath and anger to those who are self-seeking and disobey the truth while obeying unrighteousness.

May the Lord direct your hearts to God’s love and Christ’s endurance.

And not only that, but we also boast in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance,endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope.

So the dragon was furious with the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring— those who keep the commands of God and hold firmly to the testimony about Jesus.

Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in the concerns of civilian life; he seeks to please the commanding officer.Also, if anyone competes as an athlete, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.The hardworking farmer ought to be the first to get a share of the crops.Consider what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead and descended from David, according to my gospel,for which I suffer to the point of being bound like a criminal. But the word of God is not bound.This is why I endure all things for the elect: so that they also may obtain salvation, which is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.This saying is trustworthy: For if we died with him, we will also live with him;if we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he will also deny us;

Then I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me,“ Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers and sisters who hold firmly to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God, because the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
