May grace and peace come to you from Jesus Christ. He is the faithful witness, so what he has shown can be trusted. He was the first to rise from the dead. He rules over the kings of the earth. Glory and power belong to Jesus Christ who loves us! He has set us free from our sins by pouring out his blood for us.

I will also make him my oldest son. Among all the kings of the earth, he will be the most important one.

They will make war against the Lamb. But the Lamb will have victory over them. That’s because he is the most powerful Lord of all and the greatest King of all. His appointed, chosen and faithful followers will be with him.”

But Christ offered himself to God without any flaw. He did this through the power of the eternal Holy Spirit. So how much cleaner will the blood of Christ make us! It washes away our feelings of guilt for committing sin. Sin always leads to death. But now we can serve the living God.

And he is the head of the body, which is the church. He is the beginning. He is the first to be raised from the dead. That happened so that he would be far above everything.

Instead, you were bought with the priceless blood of Christ. He is a perfect lamb. He doesn’t have any flaws at all.

“ Here is what I command you to write to the church in Laodicea. Here are the words of Jesus, who is the Amen. What he speaks is faithful and true. He rules over what God has created. He says,

They said the Messiah would suffer. He would be the first to rise from the dead. He would bring the message of God’s light. He would bring it to his own people and to the Gentiles.”

Here is the name that is written on the rider’s robe and on his thigh. the greatest king of all and the most powerful lord of all

May all kings bow down to him. May all nations serve him.

“ So you are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered,“ You say that I am a king. In fact, that’s the reason I was born. I was born and came into the world to be a witness to the truth. Everyone who is on the side of truth listens to me.”

God will bring Jesus back at a time that pleases him. God is the blessed and only Ruler. He is the greatest King of all. He is the most powerful Lord of all.

Keep watch over yourselves. Keep watch over all the believers. The Holy Spirit has made you leaders over them. Be shepherds of God’s church. He bought it with his own blood.

Then Jesus came to them. He said,“ All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

I made him a witness to the nations. He became a ruler and commander over them.

And he was given authority, glory and a kingdom. People of all nations, no matter what language they spoke, worshiped him. His authority will last forever. It will not pass away. His kingdom will never be destroyed.

There are three that are witnesses about Jesus.They are the Holy Spirit, the birth of Jesus, and the death of Jesus. And the three of them agree.We accept what people say when they are witnesses. But it’s more important when God is a witness. That’s because it is what God says about his Son.Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts what God says about him. Whoever does not believe God is calling him a liar. That’s because they have not believed what God said about his Son.

Lead a life of love, just as Christ did. He loved us. He gave himself up for us. He was a sweet- smelling offering and sacrifice to God.

His family line will continue forever. His kingdom will last as long as the sun.It will last forever like the moon, that faithful witness in the sky.”

But Christ really has been raised from the dead. He is the first of all those who will rise from the dead.Death came because of what a man did. Rising from the dead also comes because of what a man did.Because of Adam, all people die. So because of Christ, all will be made alive.But here is the order of events. Christ is the first of those who rise from the dead. When he comes back, those who belong to him will be raised.

The seventh angel blew his trumpet. There were loud voices in heaven. They said,“ The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah. He will rule for ever and ever.”

I answered,“ Sir, you know.” He said,“ They are the ones who have come out of the time of terrible suffering. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

God showed. He showed this when he raised Christ from the dead. God seated him at his right hand in his heavenly kingdom.There Christ sits far above all who rule and have authority. He also sits far above all powers and kings. He is above every name that is appealed to in this world and in the world to come.God placed all things under Christ’s rule. He appointed him to be ruler over everything for the church.

God gives life to everything. Christ Jesus told the truth when he was a witness in front of Pontius Pilate. In the sight of God and Christ, I give you a command.

What I’m about to tell you is true. We speak about what we know. We are witnesses about what we have seen. But still you people do not accept what we say.

But God loves us deeply. He is full of mercy.

I have been crucified with Christ. I don’t live any longer, but Christ lives in me. Now I live my life in my body by faith in the Son of God. He loved me and gave himself for me.

Some of you used to do those things. But your sins were washed away. You were made holy. You were made right with God. All of this was done in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. It was also done by the Spirit of our God.

The Lord chose you because he loved you. He wanted to keep the promise he had made to your people of long ago. That’s why he used his mighty hand to bring you out of Egypt. He bought you back from the land where you were slaves. He set you free from the power of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt.

It was just before the Passover Feast. Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world. It was time for him to go to the Father. Jesus loved his disciples who were in the world. So he now loved them to the very end.

“ Just as the Father has loved me, I have loved you. Now remain in my love.

Jesus answered,“ Even if I am a witness about myself, what I say does count. I know where I came from. And I know where I am going. But you have no idea where I come from or where I am going.You judge by human standards. I don’t judge anyone.But if I do judge, what I decide is true. This is because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me.

“ No,” said Peter.“ You will never wash my feet.” Jesus answered,“ Unless I wash you, you can’t share life with me.”“ Lord,” Simon Peter replied,“ not just my feet! Wash my hands and my head too!”Jesus answered,“ People who have had a bath need to wash only their feet. The rest of their body is clean. And you are clean. But not all of you are.”

He is a witness to what he has seen and heard. But no one accepts what he says.

“ At that time a fountain will be opened for the benefit of David’s family line. It will also bless the others who live in Jerusalem. It will wash away their sins. It will make them pure and‘ clean.’

By me kings rule. Leaders make laws that are fair.By me princes and nobles govern. It is by me that anyone rules on earth.

The Lord your God wouldn’t listen to Balaam. Instead, he turned the curse into a blessing for you. He did it because he loves you.

No! In all these things we are more than winners! We owe it all to Christ, who has loved us.

“ I give you a new command. Love one another. You must love one another, just as I have loved you.

So the king sent for those who claimed to get knowledge by using magic. He also sent for those who practiced evil magic and those who studied the heavens. He wanted them to tell him what he had dreamed. They came in and stood in front of the king.

Husbands, love your wives. Love them just as Christ loved the church. He gave himself up for her.He did it to make her holy. He made her clean by washing her with water and the word.He did it to bring her to himself as a brightly shining church. He wants a church that has no stain or wrinkle or any other flaw. He wants a church that is holy and without blame.
