As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.“ Don’t be alarmed,” he said.“ You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

While he was saying this to me, I bowed with my face toward the ground and was speechless.

They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost.He said to them,“ Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds?Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”

which said:“ Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.”

After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision:“ Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.”

Peter turned and saw that the disciple whom Jesus loved was following them.( This was the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and had said,“ Lord, who is going to betray you?”)

Moses answered the people,“ Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.

The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

Moses said to the people,“ Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning.”

I heard and my heart pounded, my lips quivered at the sound; decay crept into my bones, and my legs trembled. Yet I will wait patiently for the day of calamity to come on the nation invading us.

One of them, the disciple whom Jesus loved, was reclining next to him.
