我又观看，看哪，一朵白云，云上坐着一位仿佛人子的，头上戴着金冠冕，手里拿着一把锋利的镰刀。

反而倒空自己，取了奴仆的形像，成为人的样式，以人的形态出现，降卑自己，顺从至死，甚至死在十字架上！

公义必作他的束带，信实必作他的腰带。

“我继续观看，宝座已经安放好，亘古永存者入座了；他的衣服洁白如雪，他的头发纯净如羊毛；他的宝座是烈火的火焰，宝座的轮子是燃烧的烈火。

因为我们的大祭司不是不能同情我们的种种软弱，而是在各方面照着与我们相同的样式受过试探，只是没有犯罪。

所以，孩子们既然同属血肉之体，他也照样同有一样的血肉之体，为要藉着死亡来废除那掌握死亡权势的——就是魔鬼，并且释放那些因怕死而终生被束缚为奴役的人。显然，他并不是要救拔天使，而是救拔亚伯拉罕的后裔。故此，他必须在各方面都像他的弟兄们那样，为要在属神的事上成为怜悯人的、忠心的大祭司，好为子民的罪孽献上平息祭。
