因为我不是从人领受的，也不是人教导我的，而是藉着耶稣基督的启示而来。

只有那在天上的上帝能显明奥秘。他已把日后将要发生的事指示尼布甲尼撒王。你在床上做的梦和你脑中的异象是这样：你，王啊，你在床上所思想的是关乎日后的事，那显明奥秘的主已把将来要发生的事指示你。

所以，你要把所看见的事、现在的事和以后将发生的事，都写下来。

用启示让我知道福音的奥秘，正如我以前略略写过的。

他把所见所闻的见证出来，只是没有人领受他的见证。

我—约翰就是你们的弟兄，在耶稣里和你们一同在患难、国度、忍耐里有份的，为上帝的道，并为给耶稣作的见证，曾在那名叫拔摩的海岛上。

我有许多事要讲论你们，判断你们；但差我来的那位是真实的，我从他那里所听见的，就告诉世人。”

因为我没有凭着自己讲，而是差我来的父已经给我命令，叫我说什么，讲什么。

这些事以后，我观看，看见天上有一道门开着。我头一次听见的那好像吹号的声音对我说：“你上这里来，我要把此后必须发生的事指示你。”

以后我不再称你们为仆人，因为仆人不知道主人所做的事；但我称你们为朋友，因为我从我父所听见的一切都已经让你们知道了。

惟有上帝能照我所传的福音和所讲的耶稣基督，并照历代以来隐藏的奥秘的启示，坚固你们。

耶和华与敬畏他的人亲密，他要将自己的约指示他们。

主耶和华不会做任何事情，除非先将奥秘指示他的仆人众先知。

因为你所赐给我的话，我已经赐给他们，他们也领受了，又确实知道，我是从你出来的，并且信你差了我来。

我听见乌莱河中有人声呼叫说：“加百列啊，要使这人明白这异象。”

我正在祷告中说话，先前在异象中所见的那位加百列，约在献晚祭的时候迅速飞到我这里来。

你刚开始恳求的时候，就有命令发出。现在我来告诉你，因你是蒙爱的；所以你要思想这事，明白这异象。

我又看见圣城，新耶路撒冷由上帝那里，从天而降，预备好了，就如新娘打扮整齐，等候丈夫。

诵读这书上预言的，和那些听见又遵守其中所记载的，都是有福的，因为时候近了。约翰写信给亚细亚的七个教会。愿那位今在、昔在、以后永在的上帝，与他宝座前的七灵，和那忠信的见证者、从死人中复活的首生者、世上君王的元首耶稣基督，赐恩惠和平安给你们。他爱我们，用自己的血使我们从罪中得释放，
