「我－耶穌差遣我的使者為眾教會將這些事向你們證明。我是大衛的根，又是他的後裔。我是明亮的晨星。」

天使又對我說：「這些話是真實可信的。主就是眾先知被感之靈的神，差遣他的使者，將那必要快成的事指示他僕人。」

因為我不是從人領受的，也不是人教導我的，乃是從耶穌基督啟示來的。

只有一位在天上的神能顯明奧祕的事。他已將日後必有的事指示尼布甲尼撒王。你的夢和你在牀上腦中的異象是這樣：王啊，你在牀上想到後來的事，那顯明奧祕事的主把將來必有的事指示你。

所以你要把所看見的，和現在的事，並將來必成的事，都寫出來。

用啟示使我知道福音的奧祕，正如我以前略略寫過的。

以後我不再稱你們為僕人，因僕人不知道主人所做的事。我乃稱你們為朋友；因我從我父所聽見的，已經都告訴你們了。

惟有神能照我所傳的福音和所講的耶穌基督，並照永古隱藏不言的奧祕，堅固你們的心。

耶和華與敬畏他的人親密；他必將自己的約指示他們。

主耶和華若不將奧祕指示他的僕人－眾先知，就一無所行。

因為你所賜給我的道，我已經賜給他們，他們也領受了，又確實知道，我是從你出來的，並且信你差了我來。

我又聽見烏萊河兩岸中有人聲呼叫說：「加百列啊，要使此人明白這異象。」

我又看見聖城新耶路撒冷由神那裏從天而降，預備好了，就如新婦妝飾整齊，等候丈夫。

念這書上預言的和那些聽見又遵守其中所記載的，都是有福的，因為日期近了。約翰寫信給亞細亞的七個教會。但願從那昔在、今在、以後永在的神，和他寶座前的七靈，
