So I declared on oath in my anger,‘ They shall never enter my rest.’”

予怒而誓之、毋俾斯人、享余安息兮。

我遂震怒而誓曰、必不容其人享我安息、

吾憤乃誓。不令安寧。

So when I was angry, I made a promise. I said,‘ They will never enjoy the rest I planned for them.’ ”

Therefore I swore in my wrath,“ They shall not enter my rest.”

So in my anger I took an oath:‘ They will never enter my place of rest.’”

So I swore in my anger,“ They will not enter my rest.”

Therefore I swore in My anger, They certainly shall not enter My rest.”

So I swore in My wrath,‘ They shall not enter My rest.’”

Wherefore I sware in my wrath, That they should not enter into my rest.

So I swore in My anger,“ They will not enter My rest.”

Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

So I made a vow in my anger,‘ They will never enter into the resting place I had set aside for them.’”

Therefore I swore in my wrath,“ They won’t enter into my rest.”

Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said,“ So I declared on oath in my anger,‘ They shall never enter my rest.’” And yet his works have been finished since the creation of the world.

not one of them will ever see the land I promised on oath to their ancestors. No one who has treated me with contempt will ever see it.

And again in the passage above he says,“ They shall never enter my rest.”

So I declared on oath in my anger,‘ They shall never enter my rest.’”

And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed?

since you have not yet reached the resting place and the inheritance the Lord your God is giving you.

“ Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

When the Lord heard what you said, he was angry and solemnly swore:“ No one from this evil generation shall see the good land I swore to give your ancestors,

Then I heard a voice from heaven say,“ Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.”“ Yes,” says the Spirit,“ they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”

So tell them,‘ As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to you the very thing I heard you say:In this wilderness your bodies will fall— every one of you twenty years old or more who was counted in the census and who has grumbled against me.Not one of you will enter the land I swore with uplifted hand to make your home, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

This is what the Lord says:“ Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said,‘ We will not walk in it.’

By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.

“ But let no one bring a charge, let no one accuse another, for your people are like those who bring charges against a priest.You stumble day and night, and the prophets stumble with you. So I will destroy your mother—my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.“ Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.The more priests there were, the more they sinned against me; they exchanged their glorious God for something disgraceful.They feed on the sins of my people and relish their wickedness.And it will be: Like people, like priests. I will punish both of them for their ways and repay them for their deeds.“ They will eat but not have enough; they will engage in prostitution but not flourish, because they have deserted the Lord to give themselvesto prostitution; old wine and new wine take away their understanding.
