Forty years long was I grieved with[ this] generation, and said, It[ is] a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:

四十年之久，我厌烦那世代，说：“这是心里迷糊的百姓，竟不晓得我的作为！”

四十年之久，我厌烦那世代，说：“这是心里迷糊的百姓，竟不知道我的道路！”

四十年之久，我厌烦那世代，说：“这是心里迷糊的百姓，竟不知道我的道路！”

所以，我憎恶他们四十年之久，我说，‘他们偏离正路，不遵行我的命令。’

四十年之久，我厌恶那个世代的人；我曾说：“他们是心里迷误的人民，不认识我的道路。”

四十年之久，我厌恶了那世代，我说：‘他们是心里迷失的子民，他们不认识我的道路。’

四十年之久，我厭煩那世代，說：這是心裏迷糊的百姓，竟不曉得我的作為！

四十年之久，我厭煩那世代，說：「這是心裏迷糊的百姓，竟不知道我的道路！」

四十年之久，我厭煩那世代，說：「這是心裏迷糊的百姓，竟不知道我的道路！」

所以，我憎惡他們四十年之久，我說，『他們偏離正路，不遵行我的命令。』

四十年之久，我厭惡那個世代的人；我曾說：“他們是心裡迷誤的人民，不認識我的道路。”

四十年之久我討厭那世代，說：『這是心裏迷糊的人民，不曉得我所行的；』

四十年之久，我厭惡了那世代，我說：『他們是心裡迷失的子民，他們不認識我的道路。』

歷年四十、我厭此代曰、斯民心迷、未識我途兮、

歷四十載、我憾當時之人曰、厥心常迷、不識余途兮。

彼世代四十年間、激我厭惡、我曰、彼乃心中偏邪之民、不明我道、

心厭彼逆。垂四十春。中心懷邪。天理不明。

For forty years I was angry with that generation; I said,‘ They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they have not known my ways.’

For 40 years I was angry with them. I said,‘ Their hearts are always going astray. They do not know how I want them to live.’

For forty years I loathed that generation and said,“ They are a people who go astray in their heart, and they have not known my ways.”

For forty years I was angry with them, and I said,‘ They are a people whose hearts turn away from me. They refuse to do what I tell them.’

For forty years I was disgusted with that generation; I said,“ They are a people whose hearts go astray; they do not know my ways.”

For forty years I was disgusted with that generation, And said they are a people who err in their heart, And they do not know My ways.

For forty years I was grieved with that generation, And said,‘ It is a people who go astray in their hearts, And they do not know My ways.’

Forty years long was I grieved with that generation, And said, It is a people that do err in their heart, And they have not known my ways:

For 40 years I was disgusted with that generation; I said,“ They are a people whose hearts go astray; they do not know My ways.”

For forty years I was continually disgusted with that generation, and I said,‘ These people desire to go astray; they do not obey my commands.’

Forty long years I was grieved with that generation, and said,“ It is a people that errs in their heart. They have not known my ways.”

But with whom was he grieved forty years?[ was it] not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?

He brought them out, after that he had shewed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years.

How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in[ their] heart; and they have not known my ways.

And even as they did not like to retain God in[ their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Thine habitation[ is] in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith the LORD.

And the LORD’S anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.

And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first[ day] of the month,[ that] Moses spake unto the children of Israel, according unto all that the LORD had given him in commandment unto them;

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

And the space in which we came from Kadeshbarnea, until we were come over the brook Zered,[ was] thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were wasted out from among the host, as the LORD sware unto them.For indeed the hand of the LORD was against them, to destroy them from among the host, until they were consumed.So it came to pass, when all the men of war were consumed and dead from among the people,

O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways,[ and] hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants’ sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.

And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

And about the time of forty years suffered he their manners in the wilderness.

And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness.After the number of the days in which ye searched the land,[ even] forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities,[ even] forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.

The fear of the LORD[ is] the beginning of knowledge:[ but] fools despise wisdom and instruction.
