麻木焉得仁。冥頑何時靈。

Take notice, you senseless ones among the people; you fools, when will you become wise?

You who aren’t wise, pay attention. You foolish people, when will you become wise?

Understand, O dullest of the people! Fools, when will you be wise?

Think again, you fools! When will you finally catch on?

Pay attention, you stupid people! Fools, when will you be wise?

Pay attention, you stupid ones among the people; And when will you understand, foolish ones?

Understand, you senseless among the people; And you fools, when will you be wise?

Consider, ye brutish among the people; And ye fools, when will ye be wise?

Take notice of this, you ignorant people! You fools, when will you ever understand?

Consider, you senseless among the people; you fools, when will you be wise?

A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.

For he seeth[ that] wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others.

There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful,[ and] hating one another.

But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock[ is] a doctrine of vanities.

O that they were wise,[ that] they understood this,[ that] they would consider their latter end!

How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

So foolish[ was] I, and ignorant: I was[ as] a beast before thee.

O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.

Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof[ is] brutish.

When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come,[ and] set them on fire: for it[ is] a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour.

I hearkened and heard,[ but] they spake not aright: no man repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as the horse rusheth into the battle.Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD.How do ye say, We[ are] wise, and the law of the LORD[ is] with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he[ it]; the pen of the scribes[ is] in vain.
