But Lord, you are honored forever.

耶和華歟、惟爾崇高、永世靡暨兮、

耶和華兮、維爾至尊無對、永世靡暨兮、

惟主至上、永世無盡、

紛紛群小。譬彼茅草。乘時蓬勃。終付一燒。夭夭灼灼。豈能長好。

But you, Lord, are forever exalted.

but you, O Lord, are on high forever.

But thou, O Jehovah, art on high for evermore.

But you, Yahweh, are on high forever more.

May you, the Lord, let your enemies know who you are. You alone are the Most High God over the whole earth.

My enemies chase me all day long. Many proud people are attacking me.

Now I know that the Lord is greater than all other gods. See what he did to those who looked down on Israel.”

About this time, King Herod arrested some people who belonged to the church. He planned to make them suffer greatly.

They will pass away. But you will remain. They will all wear out like a piece of clothing. You will make them like clothes that are taken off and thrown away.But you remain the same. Your years will never end.

But Lord, you are more powerful than the roar of the ocean. You are stronger than the waves of the sea. Lord, you are powerful in heaven.

Suppose you see poor people being mistreated somewhere. And what is being done to them isn’t right or fair. Don’t be surprised by that. One official is watched by a higher one. Officials who are even higher are watching both of them.

At the end of that time I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up toward heaven. My mind became clear again. Then I praised the Most High God. I gave honor and glory to the God who lives forever. His rule will last forever. His kingdom will never end.He considers all the nations on earth to be nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven. He does what he wants with the nations of the earth. No one can hold back his hand. No one can say to him,“ What have you done?”

Then they shouted,“ This is the voice of a god. It’s not the voice of a man.”Right away an angel of the Lord struck Herod down. Herod had not given praise to God. So he was eaten by worms and died.But God’s word continued to spread and many people believed the message.
