It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High,

Lord, it is good to praise you. Most High God, it is good to make music to honor you.

It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High;

No one can hold back his hand or say to him:“ What have you done?”At the same time that my sanity was restored, my honor and splendor were returned to me for the glory of my kingdom. My advisers and nobles sought me out, and I was restored to my throne and became even greater than before.Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble. (niv)

For this is what the high and exalted One says— he who lives forever, whose name is holy:“ I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite. (niv)

But you, Lord, are forever exalted. (niv)

“ Your Majesty, the Most High God gave your father Nebuchadnezzar sovereignty and greatness and glory and splendor. (niv)

Those who sacrifice thank offerings honor me, and to the blameless I will show my salvation.” (niv)

Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him. (niv)

I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you; I will praise your name, Lord, for it is good. (niv)

They lay their crowns before the throne and say:“ You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” (niv)

Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise— the fruit of lips that openly profess his name. (niv)

“ However, the Most High does not live in houses made by human hands. As the prophet says:“‘ Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me? says the Lord. Or where will my resting place be? (niv)

There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; (niv)
