保守你的是耶和华，他在你右边荫庇你。白天，太阳不会伤你；夜间，月亮也不会害你。

你们也将会听见战争和战争的消息。要注意，不可惊慌，因为这些事必须发生，不过结局还没有到。一个民族要起来反对另一个民族，一个国家要起来反对另一个国家；到处都会有饥荒和地震。

他们都吃了同样的属灵食物，也都喝了同样的属灵之水。原来他们所喝的是出于那随着他们的属灵磐石；那磐石就是基督。但是神不喜悦他们中的大多数人，所以他们倒毙在旷野。这些事的发生，是为了我们的鉴戒，好使我们不像他们成为贪恋恶事的人。你们也不可像他们中的有些人那样，成为拜偶像的，正如经上所记：“民众坐下吃喝，起来玩乐。”我们也不可行淫乱，像他们中的有些人行淫乱，结果一天就倒毙了两万三千人。我们也不可试探基督，像他们中的有些人试探了，结果就被蛇所灭。你们也不可抱怨，像他们中的有些人抱怨了，结果就被那毁灭者所灭。
