暗中流行之疫癘、午間勦滅之災患、爾皆不懼兮、

亦不懼黑暗之瘟災、日午害人之毒病、

午夜魑魅不爾擾。中晝群魔不爾殄。

You won’t have to be afraid of the sickness that attacks in the darkness. You won’t have to fear the plague that destroys at noon.

他站在死人與活人中間，瘟疫就止住了。

保護你的是耶和華，耶和華在你的右邊蔭庇你。白天太陽必不傷你，夜裡月亮必不害你。

你們要聽見戰爭，也聽見戰爭的風聲；你們要小心，不要驚慌，因為這是免不了的，不過結局還沒有到。一個民族要起來攻打另一個民族，一個國家要起來攻打另一個國家，到處都有饑荒和地震，

他們都吃了一樣的靈糧，都喝了一樣的靈水；他們所喝的，是從那隨著他們的靈磐石那裡來的，這磐石就是基督。但他們大多數的人，都得不到神的喜悅，因此他們都死在曠野。這些事都是我們的鑒戒，叫我們不要貪戀惡事，像他們那樣。你們也不可拜偶像，像他們有些人那樣；正如經上所記：“人民坐下吃喝，起來玩樂。”我們也不可淫亂，像他們有些人那樣，一天就死了二萬三千人。我們也不可試探主，像他們有些人那樣，結果就被蛇咬死了。你們也不可發怨言，像他們有些人那樣，就被那毀滅者所滅。

那天晚上，耶和華的使者出去，在亞述軍營殺了十八萬五千人。早上，他們起來的時候，看哪，到處都是死屍。

到了半夜，耶和華把埃及地所有的長子，就是從坐王位的法老的長子，直到監牢裡遭囚禁的人的長子，以及所有頭生的牲畜，都擊殺了。在那一夜，法老本人和他所有的臣僕，以及全埃及的人都起來了；在埃及有極大的哀號，因為沒有一家不死人的。

於是耶和華降瘟疫在以色列地，從早晨直到所定的時間；從但到別是巴，眾民中死了七萬人。
