夜之驚駭、晝之飛矢、

夕有患難、晝有流矢、中宵遘疾疫、亭午逢喪敗、爾俱無所畏兮、

使爾不懼黑夜之震驚、白晝之飛箭、

夜間無有諸恐怖。白日無慮中飛箭。

You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,

You won’t have to be afraid of the terrors that come during the night. You won’t have to fear the arrows that come at you during the day.

You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day;

He will deliver thee in six troubles; Yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.In famine he will redeem thee from death; And in war from the power of the sword.Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue; Neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.At destruction and dearth thou shalt laugh; Neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field; And the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.And thou shalt know that thy tent is in peace; And thou shalt visit thy fold, and shalt miss nothing.Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, And thine offspring as the grass of the earth.Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, Like as a shock of grain cometh in in its season.Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; Hear it, and know thou it for thy good.

So that with good courage we say, The Lord is my helper; I will not fear: What shall man do unto me?

Then shalt thou walk in thy way securely, And thy foot shall not stumble.When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: Yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.Be not afraid of sudden fear, Neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh:

I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for Jehovah sustaineth me.I will not be afraid of ten thousands of the people That have set themselves against me round about.

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: His heart is fixed, trusting in Jehovah.

Jehovah is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?When evil- doers came upon me to eat up my flesh, Even mine adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.Though a host should encamp against me, My heart shall not fear: Though war should rise against me, Even then will I be confident.

The wicked flee when no man pursueth; But the righteous are bold as a lion.

Therefore will we not fear, though the earth do change, And though the mountains be shaken into the heart of the seas;

And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

In thoughts from the visions of the night, When deep sleep falleth on men,Fear came upon me, and trembling, Which made all my bones to shake.Then a spirit passed before my face; The hair of my flesh stood up.

For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.

My heart fluttereth, horror hath affrighted me; the twilight that I desired hath been turned into trembling unto me.

But God said unto him, Thou foolish one, this night is thy soul required of thee; and the things which thou hast prepared, whose shall they be?

They all handle the sword, and are expert in war: Every man hath his sword upon his thigh, Because of fear in the night.

But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would have watched, and not have left his house to be broken through.

The murderer riseth with the light; He killeth the poor and needy; And in the night he is as a thief.The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, Saying, No eye shall see me: And he disguiseth his face.In the dark they dig through houses: They shut themselves up in the day- time; They know not the light.

He hath bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.He hath caused the shafts of his quiver to enter into my reins.

For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, The poison whereof my spirit drinketh up: The terrors of God do set themselves in array against me.
