In the council of the holy ones God is greatly feared; he is more awesome than all who surround him.

God is highly respected among his holy angels. He’s more wonderful than all those who are around him.

For Yahweh, the Most High, is awe-inspiring, a great King over all the earth.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us hold on to grace. By it, we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe,for our God is a consuming fire.

Don’t fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul; rather, fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

My hand made all these things, and so they all came into being. This is the Lord’s declaration. I will look favorably on this kind of person: one who is humble, submissive in spirit, and trembles at My word.

So Moses said to Aaron,“ This is what the Lord meant when He said: I will show My holiness to those who are near Me, and I will reveal My glory before all the people.” But Aaron remained silent.

But Yahweh is the true God; He is the living God and eternal King. The earth quakes at His wrath, and the nations cannot endure His rage.

Then great fear came on the whole church and on all who heard these things.

They sang the song of God’s servant Moses and the song of the Lamb: Great and awe-inspiring are Your works, Lord God, the Almighty; righteous and true are Your ways, King of the Nations.Lord, who will not fear and glorify Your name? Because You alone are holy, for all the nations will come and worship before You because Your righteous acts have been revealed.

Seraphim were standing above Him; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.And one called to another: Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Hosts; His glory fills the whole earth.The foundations of the doorways shook at the sound of their voices, and the temple was filled with smoke.Then I said: Woe is me for I am ruined because I am a man of unclean lips and live among a people of unclean lips, and because my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Hosts.Then one of the seraphim flew to me, and in his hand was a glowing coal that he had taken from the altar with tongs.He touched my mouth with it and said: Now that this has touched your lips, your wickedness is removed and your sin is atoned for.

“ And I say to you, My friends, don’t fear those who kill the body, and after that can do nothing more.But I will show you the One to fear: Fear Him who has authority to throw people into hell after death. Yes, I say to you, this is the One to fear!

Who should not fear You, King of the nations? It is what You deserve. For among all the wise people of the nations and among all their kingdoms, there is no one like You.
