Lord, your enemies have said mean things. They have laughed at everything your anointed king has done.

If you are ridiculed for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.None of you, however, should suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or a meddler.But if anyone suffers as a“ Christian,” he should not be ashamed but should glorify God in having that name.

However, do this with gentleness and respect, keeping your conscience clear, so that when you are accused, those who denounce your Christian life will be put to shame.

For what credit is there if you sin and are punished, and you endure it? But when you do what is good and suffer, if you endure it, this brings favor with God.For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you should follow in His steps.

Sometimes you were publicly exposed to taunts and afflictions, and at other times you were companions of those who were treated that way.

The Jews responded to Him,“ Aren’t we right in saying that You’re a Samaritan and have a demon?”

we labor, working with our own hands. When we are reviled, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it;when we are slandered, we respond graciously. Even now, we are like the world’s garbage, like the dirt everyone scrapes off their sandals.

God, how long will the enemy mock? Will the foe insult Your name forever?

Then they went out from the presence of the Sanhedrin, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to be dishonored on behalf of the Name.
