行旅攘奪之、鄰里凌辱之兮、

以致行路之人皆劫奪之、鄰邦之人皆侮辱之、

屏藩盡被撤。岑樓悉淪泯。

All who pass by have plundered him; he has become the scorn of his neighbors.

All those who pass by have carried off what belonged to him. His neighbors make fun of him.

All who pass by plunder him; he has become the scorn of his neighbors.

Everyone who comes along has robbed him, and he has become a joke to his neighbors.

All who pass by plunder him; he has become an object of ridicule to his neighbors.

All who pass along the way plunder him; He has become a disgrace to his neighbors.

All that pass by the way rob him: He is become a reproach to his neighbors.

We have become a reproach to our neighbors, A scorn and derision to those who are around us.

And I will pursue them with the sword, with famine, and with pestilence; and I will deliver them to trouble among all the kingdoms of the earth— to be a curse, an astonishment, a hissing, and a reproach among all the nations where I have driven them,

And you shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword among all nations where the Lord will drive you.

Remember, O Lord, what has come upon us; Look, and behold our reproach!

I will deliver them to trouble into all the kingdoms of the earth, for their harm, to be a reproach and a byword, a taunt and a curse, in all places where I shall drive them.

Then I said,“ What you are doing is not good. Should you not walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the nations, our enemies?

“ For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel:‘ As My anger and My fury have been poured out on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so will My fury be poured out on you when you enter Egypt. And you shall be an oath, an astonishment, a curse, and a reproach; and you shall see this place no more.’

“ O Lord, according to all Your righteousness, I pray, let Your anger and Your fury be turned away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain; because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people are a reproach to all those around us.

And I will take the remnant of Judah who have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to dwell there, and they shall all be consumed and fall in the land of Egypt. They shall be consumed by the sword and by famine. They shall die, from the least to the greatest, by the sword and by famine; and they shall be an oath, an astonishment, a curse and a reproach!

O God, how long will the adversary reproach? Will the enemy blaspheme Your name forever?

“ Israel is like scattered sheep; The lions have driven him away. First the king of Assyria devoured him; Now at last this Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has broken his bones.”

Moreover I will make you a waste and a reproach among the nations that are all around you, in the sight of all who pass by.‘ So it shall be a reproach, a taunt, a lesson, and an astonishment to the nations that are all around you, when I execute judgments among you in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I, the Lord, have spoken.

I will send him against an ungodly nation, And against the people of My wrath I will give him charge, To seize the spoil, to take the prey, And to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

You make us turn back from the enemy, And those who hate us have taken spoil for themselves.You have given us up like sheep intended for food, And have scattered us among the nations.You sell Your people for next to nothing, And are not enriched by selling them.You make us a reproach to our neighbors, A scorn and a derision to those all around us.You make us a byword among the nations, A shaking of the head among the peoples.

in that you provoke Me to wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense to other gods in the land of Egypt where you have gone to dwell, that you may cut yourselves off and be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?

The boar out of the woods uproots it, And the wild beast of the field devours it.
