But you have rejected, you have spurned, you have been very angry with your anointed one.

乃今主屏棄厭惡所立之受膏者、向其大震烈怒、

明證懸中天。有如月之恆。』

But you have turned your back on your anointed king. You have been very angry with him.

But now you have cast off and rejected; you are full of wrath against your anointed.

But now you have rejected him and cast him off. You are angry with your anointed king.

But you have spurned and rejected him; you have become enraged with your anointed.

But You have rejected and refused, You have been full of wrath against Your anointed.

But You have cast off and abhorred, You have been furious with Your anointed.

But thou hast cast off and rejected, Thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.

The Lord saw this and rejected them because he was angered by his sons and daughters.

“ And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.

the taunts with which your enemies, Lord, have mocked, with which they have mocked every step of your anointed one.

“ Mountains of Gilboa, may you have neither dew nor rain, may no showers fall on your terraced fields. For there the shield of the mighty was despised, the shield of Saul— no longer rubbed with oil.

Look on our shield, O God; look with favor on your anointed one.

“ Awake, sword, against my shepherd, against the man who is close to me!” declares the Lord Almighty.“ Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered, and I will turn my hand against the little ones.

My God will reject them because they have not obeyed him; they will be wanderers among the nations.

When God heard them, he was furious; he rejected Israel completely.

In one month I got rid of the three shepherds. The flock detested me, and I grew weary of them

Therefore the Lord was angry with his people and abhorred his inheritance.

Why do you sleep? Rouse yourself! Do not reject us forever.Why do you hide your face and forget our misery and oppression?We are brought down to the dust; our bodies cling to the ground.Rise up and help us; rescue us because of your unfailing love.

The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has given the walls of her palaces into the hands of the enemy; they have raised a shout in the house of the Lord as on the day of an appointed festival.

“ Will the Lord reject forever? Will he never show his favor again?

After Rehoboam’s position as king was established and he had become strong, he and all Israel with him abandoned the law of the Lord.Because they had been unfaithful to the Lord, Shishak king of Egypt attacked Jerusalem in the fifth year of King Rehoboam.With twelve hundred chariots and sixty thousand horsemen and the innumerable troops of Libyans, Sukkites and Cushites that came with him from Egypt,he captured the fortified cities of Judah and came as far as Jerusalem.Then the prophet Shemaiah came to Rehoboam and to the leaders of Judah who had assembled in Jerusalem for fear of Shishak, and he said to them,“ This is what the Lord says,‘ You have abandoned me; therefore, I now abandon you to Shishak.’”The leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said,“ The Lord is just.”When the Lord saw that they humbled themselves, this word of the Lord came to Shemaiah:“ Since they have humbled themselves, I will not destroy them but will soon give them deliverance. My wrath will not be poured out on Jerusalem through Shishak.They will, however, become subject to him, so that they may learn the difference between serving me and serving the kings of other lands.”When Shishak king of Egypt attacked Jerusalem, he carried off the treasures of the temple of the Lord and the treasures of the royal palace. He took everything, including the gold shields Solomon had made.So King Rehoboam made bronze shields to replace them and assigned these to the commanders of the guard on duty at the entrance to the royal palace.Whenever the king went to the Lord’s temple, the guards went with him, bearing the shields, and afterward they returned them to the guardroom.Because Rehoboam humbled himself, the Lord’s anger turned from him, and he was not totally destroyed. Indeed, there was some good in Judah.

You are always righteous, Lord, when I bring a case before you. Yet I would speak with you about your justice: Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why do all the faithless live at ease?

You have rejected us, God, and burst upon us; you have been angry— now restore us!

The Lord’s anointed, our very life breath, was caught in their traps. We thought that under his shadow we would live among the nations.

But if he says,‘ I am not pleased with you,’ then I am ready; let him do to me whatever seems good to him.”

Is it not you, God, you who have now rejected us and no longer go out with our armies?
