“ If his sons forsake my law and do not follow my statutes,

“倘若他的子孙离弃我的律法，不照我的典章行，

“倘若他的子孙离弃我的律法，不照我的典章行，

“倘若他的子孙离弃我的律法，不照我的典章行，

如果他的后代背弃我的律法，不遵行我的典章，

如果他的子孙离弃我的律法，不照着我的典章而行；

如果他的子孙离弃我的律法，不照着我的法规而行；

倘若他的子孫離棄我的律法，不照我的典章行，

「倘若他的子孫離棄我的律法，不照我的典章行，

「倘若他的子孫離棄我的律法，不照我的典章行，

如果他的後代背棄我的律法，不遵行我的典章，

如果他的子孫離棄我的律法，不照著我的典章而行；

倘若他子孫撇棄了我的律法，不照我的典章而行；

如果他的子孫離棄我的律法，不照著我的法規而行；

如其子孫違棄我法度、不遵我律例、

如其子孫、違我律例、不從法度、

其子孫若違背我訓、不依我法度而行、

大維之苗裔。綿綿萬世存。大維之宗室。天地共長春。

“ What if his sons turn away from my laws and do not follow them?

If his children forsake my law and do not walk according to my rules,

But if his descendants forsake my instructions and fail to obey my regulations,

If his sons abandon my instruction and do not live by my ordinances,

“ If his sons abandon My Law And do not walk in My judgments,

“ If his sons forsake My law And do not walk in My judgments,

If his children forsake my law, And walk not in mine ordinances;

If his sons forsake My instruction and do not live by My ordinances,

If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;

If his sons reject my law and disobey my regulations,

If his children forsake my law, and don’t walk in my ordinances;

I will be his father, and he will be my son. When he does wrong, I will punish him with a rod wielded by men, with floggings inflicted by human hands.

Indignation grips me because of the wicked, who have forsaken your law.

“ And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.

I give you sound learning, so do not forsake my teaching.

“ As for you, if you walk before me faithfully as David your father did, and do all I command, and observe my decrees and laws,I will establish your royal throne, as I covenanted with David your father when I said,‘ You shall never fail to have a successor to rule over Israel.’“ But if you turn away and forsake the decrees and commands I have given you and go off to serve other gods and worship them,then I will uproot Israel from my land, which I have given them, and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name. I will make it a byword and an object of ridicule among all peoples.This temple will become a heap of rubble. All who pass by will be appalled and say,‘ Why has the Lord done such a thing to this land and to this temple?’People will answer,‘ Because they have forsaken the Lord, the God of their ancestors, who brought them out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them— that is why he brought all this disaster on them.’”

He follows my decrees and faithfully keeps my laws. That man is righteous; he will surely live, declares the Sovereign Lord.

He withholds his hand from mistreating the poor and takes no interest or profit from them. He keeps my laws and follows my decrees. He will not die for his father’s sin; he will surely live.

The Lord said,“ It is because they have forsaken my law, which I set before them; they have not obeyed me or followed my law.Instead, they have followed the stubbornness of their hearts; they have followed the Baals, as their ancestors taught them.”Therefore this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says:“ See, I will make this people eat bitter food and drink poisoned water.I will scatter them among nations that neither they nor their ancestors have known, and I will pursue them with the sword until I have made an end of them.”

I am the Lord your God; follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

If your sons keep my covenant and the statutes I teach them, then their sons will sit on your throne for ever and ever.”

Both of them were righteous in the sight of God, observing all the Lord’s commands and decrees blamelessly.

Those who forsake instruction praise the wicked, but those who heed it resist them.
