拉哈伯為主所擊破、如遭殺戮、主以大力之臂、驅散仇敵、

神威鎮滄海。狂濤應聲止。

You crushed Egypt and killed her people. With your powerful arm you scattered your enemies.

You crushed Rahab like a carcass; you scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.

You crushed the great sea monster. You scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.

You crushed Rahab like one who is slain; you scattered your enemies with your powerful arm.

You Yourself crushed Rahab like one who is slain; You scattered Your enemies with Your mighty arm.

You have broken Rahab in pieces, as one who is slain; You have scattered Your enemies with Your mighty arm.

Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; Thou hast scattered thine enemies with the arm of thy strength.

You crushed Rahab like one who is slain; You scattered Your enemies with Your powerful arm.

You crushed the Proud One and killed it; with your strong arm you scattered your enemies.

Send forth lightning and scatter the enemy; shoot your arrows and rout them.

May God arise, may his enemies be scattered; may his foes flee before him.

Has any god ever tried to take for himself one nation out of another nation, by testings, by signs and wonders, by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, or by great and awesome deeds, like all the things the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your very eyes?

See, the Lord is going to lay waste the earth and devastate it; he will ruin its face and scatter its inhabitants—

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet.You are to say everything I command you, and your brother Aaron is to tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites go out of his country.But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and though I multiply my signs and wonders in Egypt,he will not listen to you. Then I will lay my hand on Egypt and with mighty acts of judgment I will bring out my divisions, my people the Israelites.And the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord when I stretch out my hand against Egypt and bring the Israelites out of it.”Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord commanded them.Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three when they spoke to Pharaoh.The Lord said to Moses and Aaron,“ When Pharaoh says to you,‘ Perform a miracle,’ then say to Aaron,‘ Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh,’ and it will become a snake.”So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the Lord commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a snake.Pharaoh then summoned wise men and sorcerers, and the Egyptian magicians also did the same things by their secret arts:Each one threw down his staff and it became a snake. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staffs.Yet Pharaoh’s heart became hard and he would not listen to them, just as the Lord had said.Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Pharaoh’s heart is unyielding; he refuses to let the people go.Go to Pharaoh in the morning as he goes out to the river. Confront him on the bank of the Nile, and take in your hand the staff that was changed into a snake.

But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless a mighty hand compels him.So I will stretch out my hand and strike the Egyptians with all the wonders that I will perform among them. After that, he will let you go.

the day he displayed his signs in Egypt, his wonders in the region of Zoan.He turned their river into blood; they could not drink from their streams.He sent swarms of flies that devoured them, and frogs that devastated them.He gave their crops to the grasshopper, their produce to the locust.He destroyed their vines with hail and their sycamore-figs with sleet.He gave over their cattle to the hail, their livestock to bolts of lightning.He unleashed against them his hot anger, his wrath, indignation and hostility— a band of destroying angels.He prepared a path for his anger; he did not spare them from death but gave them over to the plague.He struck down all the firstborn of Egypt, the firstfruits of manhood in the tents of Ham.But he brought his people out like a flock; he led them like sheep through the wilderness.He guided them safely, so they were unafraid; but the sea engulfed their enemies.And so he brought them to the border of his holy land, to the hill country his right hand had taken.He drove out nations before them and allotted their lands to them as an inheritance; he settled the tribes of Israel in their homes.But they put God to the test and rebelled against the Most High; they did not keep his statutes.Like their ancestors they were disloyal and faithless, as unreliable as a faulty bow.They angered him with their high places; they aroused his jealousy with their idols.When God heard them, he was furious; he rejected Israel completely.He abandoned the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent he had set up among humans.He sent the ark of his might into captivity, his splendor into the hands of the enemy.He gave his people over to the sword; he was furious with his inheritance.Fire consumed their young men, and their young women had no wedding songs;their priests were put to the sword, and their widows could not weep.Then the Lord awoke as from sleep, as a warrior wakes from the stupor of wine.He beat back his enemies; he put them to everlasting shame.Then he rejected the tents of Joseph, he did not choose the tribe of Ephraim;but he chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion, which he loved.He built his sanctuary like the heights, like the earth that he established forever.He chose David his servant and took him from the sheep pens;from tending the sheep he brought him to be the shepherd of his people Jacob, of Israel his inheritance.And David shepherded them with integrity of heart; with skillful hands he led them.

“ I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me— Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush— and will say,‘ This one was born in Zion.’”

They performed his signs among them, his wonders in the land of Ham.He sent darkness and made the land dark— for had they not rebelled against his words?He turned their waters into blood, causing their fish to die.Their land teemed with frogs, which went up into the bedrooms of their rulers.He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats throughout their country.He turned their rain into hail, with lightning throughout their land;he struck down their vines and fig trees and shattered the trees of their country.He spoke, and the locusts came, grasshoppers without number;they ate up every green thing in their land, ate up the produce of their soil.Then he struck down all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their manhood.He brought out Israel, laden with silver and gold, and from among their tribes no one faltered.Egypt was glad when they left, because dread of Israel had fallen on them.He spread out a cloud as a covering, and a fire to give light at night.They asked, and he brought them quail; he fed them well with the bread of heaven.He opened the rock, and water gushed out; it flowed like a river in the desert.For he remembered his holy promise given to his servant Abraham.He brought out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy;he gave them the lands of the nations, and they fell heir to what others had toiled for—that they might keep his precepts and observe his laws. Praise the Lord.

Rebuke the beast among the reeds, the herd of bulls among the calves of the nations. Humbled, may the beast bring bars of silver. Scatter the nations who delight in war.

But do not kill them, Lord our shield, or my people will forget. In your might uproot them and bring them down.
