爾擊破拉哈伯、等於被戮之人、以爾臂力潰爾敵兮、

爾使喇合糜爛、如遭殺戮、爾展巨能、俾敵離散兮、

拉哈伯為主所擊破、如遭殺戮、主以大力之臂、驅散仇敵、

神威鎮滄海。狂濤應聲止。

You crushed Rahab like one of the slain; with your strong arm you scattered your enemies.

You crushed Egypt and killed her people. With your powerful arm you scattered your enemies.

You crushed the great sea monster. You scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.

You crushed Rahab like one who is slain; you scattered your enemies with your powerful arm.

You Yourself crushed Rahab like one who is slain; You scattered Your enemies with Your mighty arm.

You have broken Rahab in pieces, as one who is slain; You have scattered Your enemies with Your mighty arm.

Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; Thou hast scattered thine enemies with the arm of thy strength.

You crushed Rahab like one who is slain; You scattered Your enemies with Your powerful arm.

Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.

You crushed the Proud One and killed it; with your strong arm you scattered your enemies.

You have broken Rahab in pieces, like one of the slain. You have scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.

Flash forth the lightning and scatter them; send out your arrows and rout them!

God shall arise, his enemies shall be scattered; and those who hate him shall flee before him!

Or has any god ever attempted to go and take a nation for himself from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, and by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, and by great deeds of terror, all of which the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

Behold, the Lord will empty the earth and make it desolate, and he will twist its surface and scatter its inhabitants.

Aaron cast down his staff before Pharaoh and his servants, and it became a serpent.Then Pharaoh summoned the wise men and the sorcerers, and they, the magicians of Egypt, also did the same by their secret arts.For each man cast down his staff, and they became serpents. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staffs.Still Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them, as the Lord had said.Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Pharaoh’s heart is hardened; he refuses to let the people go.Go to Pharaoh in the morning, as he is going out to the water. Stand on the bank of the Nile to meet him, and take in your hand the staff that turned into a serpent.

But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless compelled by a mighty hand.So I will stretch out my hand and strike Egypt with all the wonders that I will do in it; after that he will let you go.

when he performed his signs in Egypt and his marvels in the fields of Zoan.He turned their rivers to blood, so that they could not drink of their streams.He sent among them swarms of flies, which devoured them, and frogs, which destroyed them.He gave their crops to the destroying locust and the fruit of their labor to the locust.He destroyed their vines with hail and their sycamores with frost.He gave over their cattle to the hail and their flocks to thunderbolts.He let loose on them his burning anger, wrath, indignation, and distress, a company of destroying angels.He made a path for his anger; he did not spare them from death, but gave their lives over to the plague.He struck down every firstborn in Egypt, the firstfruits of their strength in the tents of Ham.Then he led out his people like sheep and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.He led them in safety, so that they were not afraid, but the sea overwhelmed their enemies.And he brought them to his holy land, to the mountain which his right hand had won.He drove out nations before them; he apportioned them for a possession and settled the tribes of Israel in their tents.Yet they tested and rebelled against the Most High God and did not keep his testimonies,but turned away and acted treacherously like their fathers; they twisted like a deceitful bow.For they provoked him to anger with their high places; they moved him to jealousy with their idols.When God heard, he was full of wrath, and he utterly rejected Israel.He forsook his dwelling at Shiloh, the tent where he dwelt among mankind,and delivered his power to captivity, his glory to the hand of the foe.He gave his people over to the sword and vented his wrath on his heritage.Fire devoured their young men, and their young women had no marriage song.Their priests fell by the sword, and their widows made no lamentation.Then the Lord awoke as from sleep, like a strong man shouting because of wine.And he put his adversaries to rout; he put them to everlasting shame.He rejected the tent of Joseph; he did not choose the tribe of Ephraim,but he chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion, which he loves.He built his sanctuary like the high heavens, like the earth, which he has founded forever.He chose David his servant and took him from the sheepfolds;from following the nursing ewes he brought him to shepherd Jacob his people, Israel his inheritance.With upright heart he shepherded them and guided them with his skillful hand.

Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon; behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Cush—“ This one was born there,” they say.

They performed his signs among them and miracles in the land of Ham.He sent darkness, and made the land dark; they did not rebel against his words.He turned their waters into blood and caused their fish to die.Their land swarmed with frogs, even in the chambers of their kings.He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats throughout their country.He gave them hail for rain, and fiery lightning bolts through their land.He struck down their vines and fig trees, and shattered the trees of their country.He spoke, and the locusts came, young locusts without number,which devoured all the vegetation in their land and ate up the fruit of their ground.He struck down all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their strength.Then he brought out Israel with silver and gold, and there was none among his tribes who stumbled.Egypt was glad when they departed, for dread of them had fallen upon it.He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light by night.They asked, and he brought quail, and gave them bread from heaven in abundance.He opened the rock, and water gushed out; it flowed through the desert like a river.For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham, his servant.So he brought his people out with joy, his chosen ones with singing.And he gave them the lands of the nations, and they took possession of the fruit of the peoples’ toil,that they might keep his statutes and observe his laws. Praise the Lord!

Rebuke the beasts that dwell among the reeds, the herd of bulls with the calves of the peoples. Trample underfoot those who lust after tribute; scatter the peoples who delight in war.

Kill them not, lest my people forget; make them totter by your power and bring them down, O Lord, our shield!
