爾擊破拉哈伯、等於被戮之人、以爾臂力潰爾敵兮、

爾使喇合糜爛、如遭殺戮、爾展巨能、俾敵離散兮、

拉哈伯為主所擊破、如遭殺戮、主以大力之臂、驅散仇敵、

神威鎮滄海。狂濤應聲止。

You crushed Rahab like one of the slain; with your strong arm you scattered your enemies.

You crushed Egypt and killed her people. With your powerful arm you scattered your enemies.

You crushed Rahab like a carcass; you scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.

You crushed the great sea monster. You scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.

You crushed Rahab like one who is slain; you scattered your enemies with your powerful arm.

You Yourself crushed Rahab like one who is slain; You scattered Your enemies with Your mighty arm.

You have broken Rahab in pieces, as one who is slain; You have scattered Your enemies with Your mighty arm.

Cast forth lightning, and scatter them; Send out thine arrows, and discomfit them.

Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered; Let them also that hate him flee before him.

Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that Jehovah your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

Behold, Jehovah maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.

And Jehovah said unto Moses, See, I have made thee as God to Pharaoh; and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.Thou shalt speak all that I command thee; and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.But Pharaoh will not hearken unto you, and I will lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth my hosts, my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.And the Egyptians shall know that I am Jehovah, when I stretch forth my hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.And Moses and Aaron did so; as Jehovah commanded them, so did they.And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spake unto Pharaoh.And Jehovah spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Show a wonder for you; then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it down before Pharaoh, that it become a serpent.And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so, as Jehovah had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent.Then Pharaoh also called for the wise men and the sorcerers: and they also, the magicians of Egypt, did in like manner with their enchantments.For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.And Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as Jehovah had spoken.And Jehovah said unto Moses, Pharaoh’s heart is stubborn, he refuseth to let the people go.Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river’s brink to meet him; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thy hand.

And I know that the king of Egypt will not give you leave to go, no, not by a mighty hand.And I will put forth my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.

How he set his signs in Egypt, And his wonders in the field of Zoan,And turned their rivers into blood, And their streams, so that they could not drink.He sent among them swarms of flies, which devoured them; And frogs, which destroyed them.He gave also their increase unto the caterpillar, And their labor unto the locust.He destroyed their vines with hail, And their sycomore- trees with frost.He gave over their cattle also to the hail, And their flocks to hot thunderbolts.He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, Wrath, and indignation, and trouble, A band of angels of evil.He made a path for his anger; He spared not their soul from death, But gave their life over to the pestilence,And smote all the first- born in Egypt, The chief of their strength in the tents of Ham.But he led forth his own people like sheep, And guided them in the wilderness like a flock.And he led them safely, so that they feared not; But the sea overwhelmed their enemies.And he brought them to the border of his sanctuary, To this mountain, which his right hand had gotten.He drove out the nations also before them, And allotted them for an inheritance by line, And made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.Yet they tempted and rebelled against the Most High God, And kept not his testimonies;But turned back, and dealt treacherously like their fathers: They were turned aside like a deceitful bow.For they provoked him to anger with their high places, And moved him to jealousy with their graven images.When God heard this, he was wroth, And greatly abhorred Israel;So that he forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, The tent which he placed among men;And delivered his strength into captivity, And his glory into the adversary’s hand.He gave his people over also unto the sword, And was wroth with his inheritance.Fire devoured their young men; And their virgins had no marriage- song.Their priests fell by the sword; And their widows made no lamentation.Then the Lord awaked as one out of sleep, Like a mighty man that shouteth by reason of wine.And he smote his adversaries backward: He put them to a perpetual reproach.Moreover he refused the tent of Joseph, And chose not the tribe of Ephraim,But chose the tribe of Judah, The mount Zion which he loved.And he built his sanctuary like the heights, Like the earth which he hath established for ever.He chose David also his servant, And took him from the sheepfolds:From following the ewes that have their young he brought him, To be the shepherd of Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance.So he was their shepherd according to the integrity of his heart, And guided them by the skilfulness of his hands.

I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon as among them that know me: Behold, Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia: This one was born there.

They set among them his signs, And wonders in the land of Ham.He sent darkness, and made it dark; And they rebelled not against his words.He turned their waters into blood, And slew their fish.Their land swarmed with frogs In the chambers of their kings.He spake, and there came swarms of flies, And lice in all their borders.He gave them hail for rain, And flaming fire in their land.He smote their vines also and their fig- trees, And brake the trees of their borders.He spake, and the locust came, And the grasshopper, and that without number,And did eat up every herb in their land, And did eat up the fruit of their ground.He smote also all the first- born in their land, The chief of all their strength.And he brought them forth with silver and gold; And there was not one feeble person among his tribes.Egypt was glad when they departed; For the fear of them had fallen upon them.He spread a cloud for a covering, And fire to give light in the night.They asked, and he brought quails, And satisfied them with the bread of heaven.He opened the rock, and waters gushed out; They ran in the dry places like a river.For he remembered his holy word, And Abraham his servant.And he brought forth his people with joy, And his chosen with singing.And he gave them the lands of the nations; And they took the labor of the peoples in possession:That they might keep his statutes, And observe his laws. Praise ye Jehovah.

Rebuke the wild beast of the reeds, The multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the peoples, Trampling under foot the pieces of silver: He hath scattered the peoples that delight in war.

Slay them not, lest my people forget: Scatter them by thy power, and bring them down, O Lord our shield.
