He said,“ I called because of my affliction to Yahweh. He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried. You heard my voice.

He, in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and petitions with strong crying and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear,

Yahweh, in trouble they have visited you. They poured out a prayer when your chastening was on them.

I called on your name, Yahweh, out of the lowest dungeon.You heard my voice:“ Don’t hide your ear from my sighing, and my cry.”You came near in the day that I called on you. You said,“ Don’t be afraid.”

I cry with my voice to Yahweh. With my voice, I ask Yahweh for mercy.

He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.

In my distress I called on Yahweh, and cried to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry before him came into his ears.

My cry goes to God! Indeed, I cry to God for help, and for him to listen to me.In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord. My hand was stretched out in the night, and didn’t get tired. My soul refused to be comforted.

Being in agony he prayed more earnestly. His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down on the ground.

As for me, I will call on God. Yahweh will save me.Evening, morning, and at noon, I will cry out in distress. He will hear my voice.He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, although there are many who oppose me.

When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, you knew my route. On the path in which I walk, they have hidden a snare for me.
