示以愛徵。用昭大德。賜以神助。加以慰藉。敵人見之。庶幾惶惕。

Give me a sign of your goodness, that my enemies may see it and be put to shame, for you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.

Prove your goodness to me. Then my enemies will see it and be put to shame. Lord, you have helped me and given me comfort.

So Gideon said to Him,“ If now I have found favor in Your sight, then perform for me a sign that it is You speaking with me.

You who have shown me many troubles and distresses Will revive me again, And will bring me up again from the depths of the earth.May You increase my greatness And turn to comfort me.

But You, Lord, be gracious to me and raise me up, That I may repay them.By this I know that You are pleased with me, Because my enemy does not shout in triumph over me.

I waited patiently for the Lord; And He reached down to me and heard my cry.

May my accusers be clothed with dishonor, And may they cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.

I have decided to turn such a person over to Satan for the destruction of his body, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.

Then Hezekiah had said,“ What is the sign that I will go up to the house of the Lord?”

Do not rejoice over me, enemy of mine. Though I fall I will rise; Though I live in darkness, the Lord is a light for me.I will endure the rage of the Lord Because I have sinned against Him, Until He pleads my case and executes justice for me. He will bring me out to the light, And I will look at His righteousness.Then my enemy will see, And shame will cover her who said to me,“ Where is the Lord your God?” My eyes will look at her; At that time she will be trampled down Like mud of the streets.

Do not cast me away at the time of my old age; Do not abandon me when my strength fails.For my enemies have spoken against me; And those who watch for my life have consulted together,Saying,“ God has abandoned him; Pursue and seize him, for there is no one to save him.”God, do not be far from me; My God, hurry to my aid!May those who are enemies of my soul be put to shame and consumed; May they be covered with disgrace and dishonor, who seek to injure me.

We do not see our signs; There is no longer any prophet, Nor is there anyone among us who knows how long.
