求主轉回、使我儕復活、使主之民因主喜悅、

豈仁主之怒吾族兮。亙百世而不改。

Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?

Won’t you give us new life again? Then we’ll be joyful because of what you have done.

I have heard all about you, Lord. I am filled with awe by your amazing works. In this time of our deep need, help us again as you did in years gone by. And in your anger, remember your mercy.

In just a short time he will restore us, so that we may live in his presence.

The high and lofty one who lives in eternity, the Holy One, says this:“ I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts.

Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives.

“ But now we have been given a brief moment of grace, for the Lord our God has allowed a few of us to survive as a remnant. He has given us security in this holy place. Our God has brightened our eyes and granted us some relief from our slavery.For we were slaves, but in his unfailing love our God did not abandon us in our slavery. Instead, he caused the kings of Persia to treat us favorably. He revived us so we could rebuild the Temple of our God and repair its ruins. He has given us a protective wall in Judah and Jerusalem.

You have allowed me to suffer much hardship, but you will restore me to life again and lift me up from the depths of the earth.

With praise and thanks, they sang this song to the Lord:“ He is so good! His faithful love for Israel endures forever!” Then all the people gave a great shout, praising the Lord because the foundation of the Lord’s Temple had been laid.But many of the older priests, Levites, and other leaders who had seen the first Temple wept aloud when they saw the new Temple’s foundation. The others, however, were shouting for joy.The joyful shouting and weeping mingled together in a loud noise that could be heard far in the distance.

O Israel, rejoice in your Maker. O people of Jerusalem, exult in your King.

Though I am surrounded by troubles, you will protect me from the anger of my enemies. You reach out your hand, and the power of your right hand saves me.

Who will come from Mount Zion to rescue Israel? When God restores his people, Jacob will shout with joy, and Israel will rejoice.

the sounds of joy and laughter. The joyful voices of bridegrooms and brides will be heard again, along with the joyous songs of people bringing thanksgiving offerings to the Lord. They will sing,‘ Give thanks to the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, for the Lord is good. His faithful love endures forever!’ For I will restore the prosperity of this land to what it was in the past, says the Lord.
