我在聖所中曾如此瞻仰你，為要見你的能力和你的榮耀。

我們卻是天上的國民，並且等候救主，就是主耶穌基督從天上降臨。

耶和華啊，求你用手救我脫離世人，脫離那只在今生有福分的世人！你以財寶充滿他們的肚腹，他們因有兒女就滿足，將其餘的財物留給他們的孩子。至於我，我必因公正得見你的面；我醒了的時候，你的形像使我滿足。

不要使我的心偏向邪惡的事，以致我和作惡的人一同行惡；也不叫我吃他們的美食。任憑義人擊打我，這算為仁慈；任憑他責備我，這算為頭上的膏油；我的頭不躲閃。人正行惡的時候，我仍要祈禱。

萬軍之耶和華啊，你的居所何等可愛！我羨慕渴想耶和華的院宇，我的內心，我的肉體向永生上帝歡呼。

求你發出你的亮光和信實，好引導我，帶我到你的聖山，到你的居所！我就走到上帝的祭壇，到賜我喜樂的上帝那裏。上帝，我的上帝啊，我要彈琴稱謝你！

因為，隨從肉體的人體貼肉體的事；隨從聖靈的人體貼聖靈的事。體貼肉體就是死；體貼聖靈就是生命和平安。

而你們只看重那穿華麗衣服的人，說：「請坐在這裏」，又對那窮人說：「你站在那裏」，或「坐在我腳凳旁」；

過了三天，他們發現他在聖殿裏，坐在教師中間，一面聽，一面問。
