耶和華啊，求你用手使我脫離世人——他們只在今生有份：你用你所儲藏的填滿他們的肚腹；他們也因有兒女而滿足，還把剩餘的留給他們的幼兒。至於我，我要在公義中仰望你的臉；當我醒來時，就因你的形像而滿足。

不要讓我的心偏向惡事，以致我與作孽的人一同行惡；也不要讓我吃他們的美食。願義人擊打我——這是慈愛，願他責備我——這是頭上的膏油，不要讓我的頭拒絕！要知道，我的禱告一直針對惡人的惡行。

萬軍之耶和華啊，你的住所多麼令人愛慕！我的靈魂切慕渴想耶和華的院宇；我的心和我的肉體向永生的神歡呼。

求你發出你的光和真理，願它們引導我，將我帶到你的聖山，帶到你的住所。我就來到神的祭壇，來到神——我最大的喜樂那裡；神哪，我的神，我要用豎琴稱謝你！

要知道，順著肉體的人，思想屬肉體的事；順著聖靈的人，思想屬聖靈的事。屬肉體的思想帶來死亡；屬聖靈的思想帶來生命和平安。

你們卻看重那穿華麗衣服的人，對他說「請你坐在這好位子上」，而對那窮人說「你站在那裡」，或說「坐在我的腳凳下邊」；

到了第三天，他們發現耶穌在聖殿裡，坐在教師們當中，一邊聽，一邊問。
