Wake up, LORD! Why are you sleeping? Get up! Don’t reject us forever!Why do you hide and forget our affliction and oppression?For we have sunk down to the dust; our bodies cling to the ground.Rise up! Help us! Redeem us because of your faithful love.

On that day it will be said,“ Look, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he has saved us. This is the LORD; we have waited for him. Let’s rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”

For the LORD is our Judge, the LORD is our Lawgiver, the LORD is our King. He will save us.

Yet he was compassionate; he atoned for their iniquity and did not destroy them. He often turned his anger aside and did not unleash all his wrath.
