因有抗逆主者、主使初生之嬰兒與哺乳之幼孩、亦極力頌美、使敵人與報仇者皆緘口無言、

我主在天上。聖名天下揚。諸天現光彩。妙手運陰陽。

Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.

You have made sure that children and infants praise you. Their praise is a wall that stops the talk of your enemies.

Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger.

You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing your enemies and all who oppose you.

From the mouths of infants and nursing babies, you have established a stronghold on account of your adversaries in order to silence the enemy and the avenger.

From the mouths of infants and nursing babies You have established strength Because of Your enemies, To do away with the enemy and the revengeful.

Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.

Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou established strength, Because of thine adversaries, That thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

Because of Your adversaries, You have established a stronghold from the mouths of children and nursing infants to silence the enemy and the avenger.

and said to him,“ Do you hear what they are saying?” Jesus said to them,“ Yes. Have you never read,‘ Out of the mouths of children and nursing infants you have prepared praise for yourself’?”

But he said to me,“ My grace is enough for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” So then, I will boast most gladly about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may reside in me.Therefore I am content with weaknesses, with insults, with troubles, with persecutions and difficulties for the sake of Christ, for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.

He says,“ Stop your striving and recognize that I am God! I will be exalted over the nations! I will be exalted over the earth!”

But those who wait for the LORD’s help find renewed strength; they rise up as if they had eagles’ wings, they run without growing weary, they walk without getting tired.

But God chose what the world thinks foolish to shame the wise, and God chose what the world thinks weak to shame the strong.

At that time Jesus said,“ I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and revealed them to little children.

The LORD’s messenger went out and killed 185,000 troops in the Assyrian camp. With the soles of my feet I dried up all the rivers of Egypt.’Certainly you must have heard! Long ago I worked it out, in ancient times I planned it, and now I am bringing it to pass. The plan is this: Fortified cities will crash into heaps of ruins.Their residents are powerless; they are terrified and ashamed. They are as short-lived as plants in the field or green vegetation. They are as short-lived as grass on the rooftops when it is scorched by the east wind.I know where you live and everything you do and how you rage against me.Because you rage against me and the uproar you create has reached my ears, I will put my hook in your nose, and my bridle between your lips, and I will lead you back the way you came.”

She said to the men,“ I know the LORD is handing this land over to you. We are absolutely terrified of you, and all who live in the land are cringing before you.For we heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea before you when you left Egypt and how you annihilated the two Amorite kings, Sihon and Og, on the other side of the Jordan.When we heard the news we lost our courage and no one could even breathe for fear of you. For the LORD your God is God in heaven above and on earth below!

Fear and dread will fall on them; by the greatness of your arm they will be as still as stone until your people pass by, O LORD, until the people whom you have bought pass by.

But the LORD is in his majestic palace. The whole earth is speechless in his presence!”

How blessed are those who find their strength in you, and long to travel the roads that lead to your temple!As they pass through the Baca Valley, he provides a spring for them. The rain even covers it with pools of water.They are sustained as they travel along; each one appears before God in Zion.

He watches over his holy ones, but the wicked are made speechless in the darkness, for it is not by one’s own strength that one prevails.

But against any of the Israelites not even a dog will bark against either people or animals, so that you may know that the LORD distinguishes between Egypt and Israel.’
