因有抗逆主者、主使初生之嬰兒與哺乳之幼孩、亦極力頌美、使敵人與報仇者皆緘口無言、

我主在天上。聖名天下揚。諸天現光彩。妙手運陰陽。

Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.

You have made sure that children and infants praise you. Their praise is a wall that stops the talk of your enemies.

Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger.

You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing your enemies and all who oppose you.

From the mouths of infants and nursing babies, you have established a stronghold on account of your adversaries in order to silence the enemy and the avenger.

From the mouths of infants and nursing babies You have established strength Because of Your enemies, To do away with the enemy and the revengeful.

Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.

Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou established strength, Because of thine adversaries, That thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

and said to Him,“ Do You hear what these children are saying?”“ Yes,” Jesus told them.“ Have you never read: You have prepared praise from the mouths of children and nursing infants?”

But He said to me,“ My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may reside in me.So I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, catastrophes, persecutions, and in pressures, because of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

“ Stop your fighting— and know that I am God, exalted among the nations, exalted on the earth.”

but those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.

Instead, God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong.

At that time Jesus said,“ I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned and revealed them to infants.

In that same hour He rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said,“ I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and the learned and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, because this was Your good pleasure.

because of the voice of the scorner and reviler, because of the enemy and avenger.

Then the angel of the Lord went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians. When the people got up the next morning— there were all the dead bodies!So Sennacherib king of Assyria broke camp and left. He returned home and lived in Nineveh.One day, while he was worshiping in the temple of his god Nisroch, his sons Adrammelech and Sharezer struck him down with the sword and escaped to the land of Ararat. Then his son Esar-haddon became king in his place.

He brings destruction on the strong, and it falls on the stronghold.

Now, Lord our God, save us from his power so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the Lord— You alone.Then Isaiah son of Amoz sent a message to Hezekiah:“ The Lord, the God of Israel, says:‘ Because you prayed to Me about Sennacherib king of Assyria,this is the word the Lord has spoken against him: Virgin Daughter Zion despises you and scorns you: Daughter Jerusalem shakes her head behind your back.Who is it you have mocked and blasphemed? Who have you raised your voice against and lifted your eyes in pride? Against the Holy One of Israel!You have mocked the Lord through your servants. You have said,“ With my many chariots I have gone up to the heights of the mountains, to the far recesses of Lebanon. I cut down its tallest cedars, its choice cypress trees. I came to its distant heights, its densest forest.I dug wells and drank water. I dried up all the streams of Egypt with the soles of my feet.”Have you not heard? I designed it long ago; I planned it in days gone by. I have now brought it to pass, and you have crushed fortified cities into piles of rubble.Their inhabitants have become powerless, dismayed, and ashamed. They are plants of the field, tender grass, grass on the rooftops, blasted by the east wind.But I know your sitting down, your going out and your coming in, and your raging against Me.Because your raging against Me and your arrogance have reached My ears, I will put My hook in your nose and My bit in your mouth; I will make you go back the way you came.

and said to them,“ I know that the Lord has given you this land and that the terror of you has fallen on us, and everyone who lives in the land is panicking because of you.For we have heard how the Lord dried up the waters of the Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two Amorite kings you completely destroyed across the Jordan.When we heard this, we lost heart, and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on earth below.

and terror and dread will fall on them. They will be as still as a stone because of Your powerful arm until Your people pass by, Lord, until the people whom You purchased pass by.

But the Lord is in His holy temple; let everyone on earth be silent in His presence.

Happy are the people whose strength is in You, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a source of springwater; even the autumn rain will cover it with blessings.They go from strength to strength; each appears before God in Zion.

He guards the steps of His faithful ones, but the wicked perish in darkness, for a man does not prevail by his own strength.

But against all the Israelites, whether man or beast, not even a dog will snarl, so that you may know that Yahweh makes a distinction between Egypt and Israel.

Be angry and do not sin; on your bed, reflect in your heart and be still. Selah
