Now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died. Who made heaven and earth, The sea, and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever,Who executes justice for the oppressed, Who gives food to the hungry. The Lord gives freedom to the prisoners.

And now, I pray, let the power of my Lord be great, just as You have spoken, saying,‘ The Lord is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation.’Pardon the iniquity of this people, I pray, according to the greatness of Your mercy, just as You have forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.”

And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

“ For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, Now I will arise,” says the Lord;“ I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.”

O Lord, be gracious to us; We have waited for You. Be their arm every morning, Our salvation also in the time of trouble.
