也不會像自己的祖先那樣頑梗叛逆，對上帝不忠，心懷二意。

勿效厥祖、斯代頑梗悖逆、其心不正、其神不堅於上帝兮、

毋濟祖惡、如祖悖逆、其心不正、其志不立、以事上帝兮。

莫傚其列祖違背叛逆、居心不中正、向天主意不誠實、

毋效乃父。頑梗成性。懷主不篤。厥心不正。

They would not be like their ancestors— a stubborn and rebellious generation, whose hearts were not loyal to God, whose spirits were not faithful to him.

They would not be like their people who lived long ago. Those people were stubborn. They refused to obey God. They turned away from him. Their spirits were not faithful to him.

and that they should not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation whose heart was not steadfast, whose spirit was not faithful to God.

Then they will not be like their ancestors— stubborn, rebellious, and unfaithful, refusing to give their hearts to God.

他們不忠於祂，也不信守祂的約。

耶和華又說：「我看到了，這些百姓真是頑固不化。

我知道你們悖逆、頑固不化，我還活在你們中間的時候，你們尚且背叛上帝，何況我死後呢？

「『我在曠野曾對他們的子孫說，不要效法你們祖先的律例，不要遵守他們的規條，不要拜他們的偶像，以致玷污自己。

帶你們進入那奶蜜之鄉。但我不會跟你們一起去，免得我在途中就把你們滅絕了，因為你們是頑固不化的百姓。」

「你們這些頑固不化、耳不聽心不悔的人，經常抗拒聖靈，所作所為和你們的祖先如出一轍！

不要效法你們的祖先和親族，他們對他們祖先的上帝耶和華不忠，以致耶和華使他們的下場很可怕，正如你們所見的。

但他們充耳不聞，像他們祖先一樣頑固不化，不信靠他們的上帝耶和華，

「你若把心安正，向祂舉手禱告；

羅波安行為邪惡，因為他不專心尋求耶和華。

與我同去的弟兄的稟告令以色列人膽戰心驚，但我忠心地追隨我的上帝耶和華。所以，當日摩西就向我起誓，『你腳踏過的地方必永遠歸你和你的子孫作產業，因為你忠心地追隨我的上帝耶和華。』

但你們這些信靠你們的上帝耶和華的人至今還活著。

自從我認識你們以來，你們就不斷地背叛耶和華。

「人子啊，我派你去那背叛我的以色列人那裡。他們和他們的祖先至今仍背叛我。我派你到那些頑固不化的人那裡，向他們宣告，『主耶和華這樣說。』不管那群叛逆的人聽不聽，他們都會知道有一位先知在他們當中。人子啊，不要怕他們和他們的話，雖然你周圍佈滿荊棘和毒蠍，也不要害怕。他們是一群叛逆的人，你不要怕他們的話，也不要因為他們的臉色而驚慌。他們是叛逆的，不論他們聽不聽，你都要把我的話告訴他們。「人子啊，你要聽我對你說的話，不要像他們那樣叛逆，要張開口吃我賜給你的。」

然而，他沒有拆除邱壇，民眾還沒有全心歸向他們祖先的上帝。

耶和華對摩西說：「你去向以色列百姓宣佈，『你們這些頑固不化的人，我就是跟你們在一起待一刻，都恐怕會滅絕你們。現在你們要摘下自己身上的飾物，我再決定怎樣處置你們。』」

說：「主啊，如果我在你面前蒙了恩，求你與我們同行。雖然百姓頑固不化，求你赦免我們的過犯和罪惡，接納我們做你的子民。」

然而你還有善行，因為你剷除境內的亞舍拉神像，立志尋求上帝。」

我們祖先在埃及漠視你行的神蹟，忘記你向他們屢施慈愛，在紅海邊反叛你。

「耶和華又對我說，『我已看出，這是頑固不化的百姓。

「『然而，他們卻背叛我，不聽我的話，沒有除去他們祭拜的可憎之物和埃及的偶像。我本想在埃及向他們發烈怒，傾倒我的怒火，

他們是悖逆的民族，是說謊的兒女，不肯聽從耶和華的教導。

你們要知道，耶和華賜給你們那佳美之地不是因為你們有好品德。其實你們是頑固不化的人。「要牢記你們在曠野怎樣觸怒你們的上帝耶和華。從你們離開埃及那天到現在，你們屢屢背叛耶和華。

這樣，你們自己證明自己是殺害先知之人的後代。去填滿你們祖先的罪惡吧！你們這些蛇，這些毒蛇的後代啊，你們怎能逃脫地獄的刑罰呢？

他到達後，看見上帝所賜的恩典，就萬分高興，勸勉他們要全心地忠於主。

祂使孤苦者有家，讓被囚者歡然脫離牢籠。但叛逆者要住在乾旱之地。
