Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands.

惟主是仰。惟主是信。克念聖蹟。允遵大命。

Then they would put their trust in God. They would not forget what he had done. They would obey his commands.

This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.

In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome,

Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever!

Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.

Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God.

Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.

“ Obey these instructions as a lasting ordinance for you and your descendants.When you enter the land that the Lord will give you as he promised, observe this ceremony.And when your children ask you,‘ What does this ceremony mean to you?’then tell them,‘ It is the Passover sacrifice to the Lord, who passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt and spared our homes when he struck down the Egyptians.’” Then the people bowed down and worshiped.

Then I thought,“ To this I will appeal: the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand.I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.”

Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods.
