Then he abandoned his dwelling at Shiloh, the Tabernacle where he had lived among the people.

甚至他离弃示罗的帐幕，就是他在人间所搭的帐棚；

甚至离弃示罗的帐幕，就是他在人间所搭的帐棚；

甚至离弃示罗的帐幕，就是他在人间所搭的帐棚；

祂离弃了设在示罗的圣幕，就是祂在人间的居所。

他丢弃了在示罗的居所，就是他在世人中间居住的帐棚。

以致他撇弃示罗的住所，就是他在人间安居的帐篷。

甚至他離棄示羅的帳幕，就是他在人間所搭的帳棚；

甚至離棄示羅的帳幕，就是他在人間所搭的帳棚；

甚至離棄示羅的帳幕，就是他在人間所搭的帳棚；

祂離棄了設在示羅的聖幕，就是祂在人間的居所。

他丟棄了在示羅的居所，就是他在世人中間居住的帳棚。

他丟棄了示羅的帳幕，他在人間居住的帳棚；

以致他撇棄示羅的住所，就是他在人間安居的帳篷。

至離示羅之帷、人間所張之幕兮、

昔上帝在人間、擇示羅之幕以駐蹕、今則遐棄之兮、

廢棄示羅之帷幕、即天主在人間所設之居所、

飄然遠颺。離彼閟宮。

He abandoned the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent he had set up among humans.

He deserted the holy tent at Shiloh. He left the tent he had set up among his people.

He forsook his dwelling at Shiloh, the tent where he dwelt among mankind,

He abandoned the tabernacle at Shiloh, the tent where he resided among mankind.

So that He abandoned the dwelling place at Shiloh, The tent which He had pitched among people,

So that He forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, The tent He had placed among men,

So that he forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, The tent which he placed among men;

He abandoned the tabernacle at Shiloh, the tent where He resided among men.

So that he forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent[ which] he placed among men;

He abandoned the sanctuary at Shiloh, the tent where he lived among men.

so that he abandoned the tent of Shiloh, the tent which he placed among men,

Now that the land was under Israelite control, the entire community of Israel gathered at Shiloh and set up the Tabernacle.

So they sent men to Shiloh to bring the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, who is enthroned between the cherubim. Hophni and Phinehas, the sons of Eli, were also there with the Ark of the Covenant of God.When all the Israelites saw the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord coming into the camp, their shout of joy was so loud it made the ground shake!“ What’s going on?” the Philistines asked.“ What’s all the shouting about in the Hebrew camp?” When they were told it was because the Ark of the Lord had arrived,they panicked.“ The gods have come into their camp!” they cried.“ This is a disaster! We have never had to face anything like this before!Help! Who can save us from these mighty gods of Israel? They are the same gods who destroyed the Egyptians with plagues when Israel was in the wilderness.Fight as never before, Philistines! If you don’t, we will become the Hebrews’ slaves just as they have been ours! Stand up like men and fight!”So the Philistines fought desperately, and Israel was defeated again. The slaughter was great; 30,000 Israelite soldiers died that day. The survivors turned and fled to their tents.The Ark of God was captured, and Hophni and Phinehas, the two sons of Eli, were killed.

then I will destroy this Temple as I destroyed Shiloh, the place where the Tabernacle was located. And I will make Jerusalem an object of cursing in every nation on earth.’”The priests, the prophets, and all the people listened to Jeremiah as he spoke in front of the Lord’s Temple.But when Jeremiah had finished his message, saying everything the Lord had told him to say, the priests and prophets and all the people at the Temple mobbed him.“ Kill him!” they shouted.“ What right do you have to prophesy in the Lord’s name that this Temple will be destroyed like Shiloh? What do you mean, saying that Jerusalem will be destroyed and left with no inhabitants?” And all the people threatened him as he stood in front of the Temple.

“‘ Go now to the place at Shiloh where I once put the Tabernacle that bore my name. See what I did there because of all the wickedness of my people, the Israelites.While you were doing these wicked things, says the Lord, I spoke to you about it repeatedly, but you would not listen. I called out to you, but you refused to answer.So just as I destroyed Shiloh, I will now destroy this Temple that bears my name, this Temple that you trust in for help, this place that I gave to you and your ancestors.

Each year Elkanah would travel to Shiloh to worship and sacrifice to the Lord of Heaven’s Armies at the Tabernacle. The priests of the Lord at that time were the two sons of Eli— Hophni and Phinehas.
