When God saw what the people were doing, he was very angry. He turned away from them completely.

神听见就发怒，极其憎恶以色列人。

上帝听见就发怒，全然弃绝了以色列，

上帝知道了他们的恶行，怒不可遏，彻底弃绝了以色列人。

神听见就大怒，完全弃绝了以色列。

上帝知道了他們的惡行，怒不可遏，徹底棄絕了以色列人。

上帝聽見就震怒，完全棄絕了以色列人。

神聽了就動怒，極其厭棄以色列。

上帝聞之而怒、深惡以色列、

上帝聞之、其怒殊甚、於以色列族深惡之兮、

天主聞之勃然震怒、乃極厭惡以色列人、

天怒霹靂。痛絕群兇。

When God heard them, he was furious; he rejected Israel completely.

So the Lord became angry with his people. He turned away from his own children.

The Lord also said,“ The cries against Sodom and Gomorrah are very great. Their sin is so badthat I will go down and see for myself. I want to see if what they have done is as bad as the cries that have reached me. If it is not, then I will know.”

The Lord is in his holy temple. The Lord is on his throne in heaven. He watches everyone on earth. His eyes study them.

The Lord deserted his altar. He left his temple. He gave the walls of Jerusalem’s palaces into the hands of her enemies. They shouted loudly in the house of the Lord. You would have thought it was the day of an appointed feast.

But even after all that, I will not say no to you or turn away from you. I will not destroy you completely in the land of your enemies. I will not break my covenant with you. I am the Lord your God.

The Lord looks down from heaven on all people. He wants to see if there are any who understand. He wants to see if there are any who trust in God.All of them have turned away. They have all become evil. No one does anything good, no one at all.Do all these people who do evil know nothing? They eat up my people as if they were eating bread. They never call out to the Lord.But just look at them! They are filled with terror because God is among those who do right.

In one month I got rid of three worthless shepherds. The sheep hated me, and I got tired of them.

When the Lord saw this, he turned away from them. His sons and daughters made him angry.

To make room for you, I am going to drive out the nations that are in the land. You must not follow the practices of those nations. I hated those nations because they did all those things.
