When God heard[ this], he was wroth, and greatly abhorred Israel:

神听见就发怒，极其憎恶以色列人。

上帝听见就发怒，全然弃绝了以色列，

上帝知道了他們的惡行，怒不可遏，徹底棄絕了以色列人。

上帝聽見就震怒，完全棄絕了以色列人。

神聽了就動怒，極其厭棄以色列。

上帝聞之而怒、深惡以色列、

上帝聞之、其怒殊甚、於以色列族深惡之兮、

天主聞之勃然震怒、乃極厭惡以色列人、

天怒霹靂。痛絕群兇。

When God heard them, he was furious; he rejected Israel completely.

When God saw what the people were doing, he was very angry. He turned away from them completely.

Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.

And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.

The LORD[ is] in his holy temple, the LORD’S throne[ is] in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

The Lord hath cast off his altar, he hath abhorred his sanctuary, he hath given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have made a noise in the house of the LORD, as in the day of a solemn feast.

The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand,[ and] seek God.They are all gone aside, they are[ all] together become filthy:[ there is] none that doeth good, no, not one.Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people[ as] they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.There were they in great fear: for God[ is] in the generation of the righteous.

Three shepherds also I cut off in one month; and my soul lothed them, and their soul also abhorred me.

And when the LORD saw[ it], he abhorred[ them], because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters.

And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.
