And so he brought his people to the border of his holy land. He led them to the central hill country he had taken by his power.

維彼選民、導至聖地、將得斯山、以為恆業兮、

引之至己之聖境、至己右手所建之山、

乃經邊疆。乃抵畿封。原壤高敞。聖意所鍾。

And so he brought them to the border of his holy land, to the hill country his right hand had taken.

And he brought them to his holy land, to the mountain which his right hand had won.

He brought them to the border of his holy land, to this land of hills he had won for them.

He brought them to his holy territory, to the mountain his right hand acquired.

So He brought them to His holy land, To this hill country which His right hand had gained.

And He brought them to His holy border, This mountain which His right hand had acquired.

And he brought them to the border of his sanctuary, To this mountain, which his right hand had gotten.

He brought them to His holy land, to the mountain His right hand acquired.

And he brought them to the border of his sanctuary,[ even to] this mountain,[ which] his right hand had purchased.

He brought them to the border of his holy land, to this mountainous land which his right hand acquired.

He brought them to the border of his sanctuary, to this mountain, which his right hand had taken.

You will bring them in. You will plant them on the mountain you gave them. Lord, you have made that place your home. Lord, your hands have made your holy place secure.

They didn’t win the land with their swords. They didn’t gain success by their own power. Your powerful right hand and your mighty arm gave them victory. You gave them success because you loved them.

Why are you jealous of Mount Zion, you rocky mountain? That’s where God chooses to rule. That’s where the Lord himself will live forever.

The Spirit marks us as God’s own. We can now be sure that someday we will receive all that God has promised. That will happen after God sets all his people completely free. All these things will bring praise to his glory.

None of those animals will harm or destroy anything or anyone on my holy mountain of Zion. The oceans are full of water. In the same way, the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord.

He will set up his royal tents. He will put them between the Mediterranean Sea and the beautiful holy mountain of Zion. But his end will come. And no one will help him.

“ Because your love is faithful, you will lead the people you have set free. Because you are so strong, you will guide them to the holy place where you live.

Lord, you saved your people before. So turn your great anger away from Jerusalem again. After all, it is your city. It’s your holy mountain. You have made those who live around us think little of Jerusalem and your people. That’s because we have sinned. Our people before us did evil things too.“ Our God, hear my prayers. Pay attention to the appeals I make to you. Lord, have mercy on your temple that has been destroyed. Do it for your own honor.Our God, please listen to us. The city that belongs to you has been destroyed. Open your eyes and see it. We aren’t asking you to answer our prayers because we are godly. Instead, we’re asking you to do it because you love us so much.Lord, please listen! Lord, please forgive us! Lord, hear our prayers! Take action for your own honor. Our God, please don’t wait. Your city and your people belong to you.”I was speaking and praying. I was admitting that I and my people Israel had sinned. I was making my appeal to the Lord my God. My appeal was about his holy mountain of Zion.
