这些法度、律例、典章是摩西在以色列人出埃及后对他们说的，

他攻击埃及地的时候，曾立此为约瑟的法度。我听见我所不明白的语言：

他将他的道指示雅各，将他的律例典章指示以色列。

当以教诲和律法书为准；人所说的若不与此相符，必没有黎明。

是我们所听见、所知道，我们的祖宗告诉我们的。我们不要向子孙隐瞒这些事，而要将耶和华的美德和他的能力，并他所行的奇事，述说给后代听。

很多，各方面都有。首先，神的圣言交托他们。

把法柜安放在里面，用幔子将柜遮掩。

要把柜盖安在柜的上边，又要把我所要赐给你的法版放在柜里。

只有活人，活人必称谢你，像我今日称谢你一样。为父的，必使儿女知道你的信实。

我拣选他，为要叫他命令他的子孙和后代家属遵行耶和华的道，秉公行义，使耶和华所应许亚伯拉罕的话都实现了。”

你们也要将这些话教导你们的儿女，无论坐在家里，行在路上，躺下，起来，都要讲论，

耶和华的律法全备，使人苏醒；耶和华的法度确定，使愚蒙人有智慧。

既然我们领受人的见证，神的见证更该领受了，因为神的见证是为他儿子作的。信神儿子的，就有这见证在他心里；不信神的，就是把神当作说谎的，因为不信神为他儿子作的见证。这见证就是：神赐给我们永生，而这永生是在他儿子里面的。那有神儿子的，就有生命；没有神儿子的，就没有生命。

我从你的法度早已知道，这法度是你永远立定的。

要把我所要赐给你的法版放在柜里。
