He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our ancestors to teach their children,

你们作父亲的，不要惹儿女的气，只要照着主的教训和警戒养育他们。

也要殷勤教训你的儿女。无论你坐在家里，行在路上，躺下，起来，都要谈论。

就是摩西在以色列人出埃及后所传给他们的法度、律例、典章；

他去攻击埃及地的时候，在约瑟中间立此为证。我在那里听见我所不明白的言语：

他将他的道指示雅各，将他的律例典章指示以色列。

人当以训诲和法度为标准；他们所说的，若不与此相符，必不得见晨光。

是我们所听见、所知道的，也是我们的祖宗告诉我们的。我们不将这些事向他们的子孙隐瞒，要将耶和华的美德和他的能力，并他奇妙的作为，述说给后代听。

凡事大有好处：第一是神的圣言交托他们。

把法柜安放在里面，用幔子将柜遮掩。

要将施恩座安在柜的上边，又将我所要赐给你的法版放在柜里。

只有活人，活人必称谢你，像我今日称谢你一样。为父的，必使儿女知道你的诚实。

我眷顾他，为要叫他吩咐他的众子和他的眷属遵守我的道，秉公行义，使我所应许亚伯拉罕的话都成就了。”

也要教训你们的儿女，无论坐在家里，行在路上，躺下，起来，都要谈论；

耶和华的律法全备，能苏醒人心；耶和华的法度确定，能使愚人有智慧。

我们既领受人的见证，神的见证更该领受了，因神的见证是为他儿子作的。信神儿子的，就有这见证在他心里；不信神的，就是将神当作说谎的，因不信神为他儿子作的见证。这见证就是神赐给我们永生；这永生也是在他儿子里面。人有了神的儿子就有生命，没有神的儿子就没有生命。

我因学你的法度，久已知道是你永远立定的。

必将我所要赐给你的法版放在柜里。

又把法版放在柜里，把杠穿在柜的两旁，把施恩座安在柜上。
