你们作父亲的，不要激怒儿女，却要照着主的教训和劝戒，养育他们。

就是摩西在以色列人出埃及以后，对他们所说的法度、律例和典章；

约瑟从埃及地出来（“约瑟从埃及地出来”或译：“神出去攻击埃及地”）的时候，神为约瑟立了这法规。我听见了我不晓得的言语。

他把自己的话向雅各颁布，把自己的律例和典章向以色列颁布。

他们应当求问神的训诲和法度；他们若不照着这些准则说话，就见不到曙光。

就是我们所听过所知道的，也是我们的列祖告诉我们的，我们不把这些事向他们的子孙隐瞒，却要把耶和华应得的赞美、他的能力，和他所行的奇事，都向后代的人述说。

从各方面来说，的确很多。最重要的，是神的圣言已经托付了他们。

把法柜安放在里面，用幔子把法柜遮盖。

你要把施恩座安放在柜顶，又要把我赐给你的法版放在柜里。

只有活人才能称谢你，像我今日一样；作父亲的，要让儿女知道你的信实。

我拣选了他﹙“拣选”直译是“认识”。﹚，是要他吩咐子孙，和他的家属，遵守我耶和华的道，秉公行义，好叫我耶和华应许亚伯拉罕的话都可实现。”

你们也要把这些话教训你们的儿女，无论你是坐在家里，行在路上，躺下，或是起来，都要讲论。

耶和华的律法是完全的，能使人心苏醒；耶和华的法度是坚定的，能使愚人有智慧。

我们若接受人的见证，神的见证就更强而有力了，因为这是神为他的儿子作的见证。信神的儿子的，就有这见证在他心里；不信神的，就是把神当作说谎的，因为他不信神为他儿子所作的见证。这见证就是神已经把永远的生命赐给我们，这生命是在他儿子里面的。凡有神儿子的，就有生命；没有神儿子的，就没有生命。

我从你的法度早已知道，这些法度是你立定，存到永远的。

你要把我赐给你的法版放在柜里。

摩西拿了法版，放在柜里，把杠穿在柜的两旁，把施恩座安放在约柜上面。
