世人之恚憤。適足成主榮。願將其餘怒。化為救世音。

Make vows to the Lord your God and fulfill them; let all the neighboring lands bring gifts to the One to be feared.

你們要以感謝為祭獻與神，又要向至高者還你的願，

因你耶路撒冷的殿，列王必帶貢物獻給你。

你向神許願，償還不可遲延，因他不喜悅愚昧人，所以你許的願應當償還。你許願不還，不如不許。不可任你的口使肉體犯罪，也不可在祭司面前說是錯許了。為何使神因你的聲音發怒，敗壞你手所做的呢？

他在聖者的會中，是大有威嚴的神，比一切在他四圍的更可畏懼。

若不是我父親以撒所敬畏的神，就是亞伯拉罕的神與我同在，你如今必定打發我空手而去。神看見我的苦情和我的勞碌，就在昨夜責備你。」

你一切的男丁要在除酵節、七七節、住棚節，一年三次，在耶和華－你神所選擇的地方朝見他，卻不可空手朝見。

人若向耶和華許願或起誓，要約束自己，就不可食言，必要按口中所出的一切話行。

這樣，耶和華救希西家和耶路撒冷的居民脫離亞述王西拿基立的手，也脫離一切仇敵的手，又賜他們四境平安。有許多人到耶路撒冷，將供物獻與耶和華，又將寶物送給猶大王希西家。此後，希西家在列邦人的眼中看為尊大。

你公義的典章，我曾起誓遵守，我必按誓而行。
